Citrus Heights church plans free ‘drive-thru’ ice cream stand

Sentinel staff report–
Church of the Harvest, a congregation based on Auburn Boulevard, will be hosting a drive-thru ice cream stand on Wednesday evening.

“We’ll be giving away 1000 individually wrapped ice creams just to give our community something fun to do and hopefully a few moments to escape all we are dealing as a community,” Pastor Dan Nalley told The Sentinel last week, announcing the upcoming plans.

The drive-thru ice cream stand will be set up at the church’s location at 8127 Auburn Blvd., from 7-9 p.m. on August 19. A flier for the event indicates the free offer is “while supplies last.”
