An updated total on funds raised during a June 26-27 fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Citrus Heights has been released, with a restaurant spokesman telling The Sentinel that diners helped raise over $10,000 to support Sacramento Police Officer Tara O’Sullivan, who was killed last month.
Citrus Heights police arrest suspect who pointed weapon at people
Police said a suspect was arrested after pointing what appeared to be a pistol at several people around 10 a.m. Saturday. The suspect, whose name was not listed in a statement by police on social media, was also driving with a suspended license and had an arrest warrant. (See Facebook post)

Suspect arrested after taking police bait
Citrus Heights police said Monday that a suspect was arrested after stealing bait in the area of Auburn Boulevard and Antelope Road. The suspect, a resident of Citrus Heights identified as “Mr. Breland,” reportedly attempted to flee the area “at a high rate of speed,” but was subsequently arrested. (See Facebook post)
