    Sunday, March 4, 2018: Total of 77 incidents listed.

    1:06 a.m., Hit-and-Run, Marketplace at Birdcage. A security guard reported that a vehicle had collided with a light pole while spinning circles in the parking lot. The driver then parked the vehicle in the parking lot and left on foot into nearby apartments. Disposition listed: unable to locate.

    8:00 a.m., Homeless Camp, Sunrise Vista Mobile Home Park on Sunrise Blvd. A homeless camp, described as “well-disguised” and “extensive,” was reported behind a mobile home park on Sunrise Boulevard. Disposition listed: advised.

    11:13 a.m., Burglary, Navion Drive. A boarded-up home had reportedly been broken into on multiple occasions. Inside, police were advised that drug paraphernalia was found, as well as human feces on the floor. Disposition listed: unable to locate.

    11:34 a.m., Grand Theft, Costco on Auburn Blvd. Loss prevention personnel at Costco reported that an expensive surveillance system had been stolen three days ago. Surveillance footage of the incident was available. Disposition listed: report taken.

    3:33 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Oakbrook Dr. An elderly woman was reportedly yelling at a neighbor and his children after the neighbor went to retrieve his children’s ball from the woman’s backyard. Disposition listed: advised.

    3:47 p.m., Petty Theft, Walmart Market on Sunrise Blvd. A rear license plate was reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the Walmart Neighborhood Market parking lot around 2:30 p.m. Disposition listed: report taken.

    6:31 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Oak Forest St. Police were contacted after a man was found asleep in a bedroom at a vacant residence. The man reportedly had a baseball bat next to him. Disposition listed: arrest.

    3:20 a.m., Collision Unknown Injury, Sunrise/Oak. A passerby reported that a vehicle had crashed into a pole at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Oak Avenue. Disposition listed: report taken.

    3:50 p.m., Assault w/Weapon, Dollar Tree on Greenback. A pair of transients were reportedly throwing “softball size” rocks at eachother. Disposition listed: gone on arrival.

    4:56 p.m., Assault, Clear View Drive. A mother said her son had pushed her twice. According to the log, both had been drinking alochol. Medical attention was declined. Disposition listed: Advised.

    6:34 p.m., Collision Unknown Injury, Petco on Greenback Ln. Police were advised via Onstar of a collision involving a 2016 Chevy Malibu running into a post in the parking lot of Petco at 6067 Greenback Ln. Disposition listed: advised.

    11:50 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Auburn/Linden. A man in a dark-colored jacket and hoodie was reportedly observed carrying a shotgun and “spinning it around as he walked.” The caller said the gun did not appear to be a toy. Disposition listed: unable to locate.

  • Citrus Heights Police Logs: indecent exposure, slow drivers, vehicle burglary

    Latest police logs include an assault in front of the police department, an “extremely slow” driver reported on Old Auburn Road, theft at Dollar Tree, and a man reportedly exposing himself to a girl near Sylvan Middle School.

    7:52 a.m., Vehicle Burglary, Glen Tree Drive. Sometime during the night an unknown suspect reportedly stole a garage door opener from a woman’s SUV, which was unlocked. Disposition listed: report taken

    11:56 a.m., Reckless Driving, Old Auburn/Mariposa. A caller told police that a woman in a tan Saturn vehicle was driving “extremely slow,” while traveling eastbound on Old Auburn Road, near Mariposa Avenue. Disposition listed: advised.

    3:30 p.m., Intoxicated Person, Renaissance Apartments on Greenback Ln. A belligerent woman who had been drinking reportedly grabbed a nearby woman’s arm and asked her to blow into a DUI-prevention device in her vehicle, so she could leave. The woman refused to blow into the device and instead contacted police. Disposition listed: arrest.

    4:05 p.m., Burglary, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Two suspects reportedly took $300 of health and beauty products from Walmart and were confronted by a loss prevention worker. One of the suspects then threatened to assault the worker “if he put his hands on them.” The pair left in a black 1999-2002 Chevy Impala. Disposition listed: report taken

    4:20 p.m., Indecent Exposure, Gallant Circle. A girl walking home from work near Sylvan Middle School was stopped by a man in his late 20s who reportedly exposed himself to her below the waist. The man was described as a white male with a stocky build and dark brown, long curly hair under a dark blue baseball cap. He was driving a dark grey hatchback, possibly a Volvo, with an unknown plate. Disposition listed: “released to parent.”

    7:30 p.m., Vandalism, Longford Dr. Police were advised of an ongoing problem with a tenant who was allegedly kicking in the door to the apartment laundry room, “because he has lost his key.” Disposition listed: due diligence.

    Friday, Feb. 23, 2018: Total of 70 incidents listed.

    9:25 a.m., Assault, Citrus Heights Police Department. An in-progress assault was reported occurring outside the Citrus Heights Police Department building on Fountain Square Drive. The incident involved a man and woman in an older Mercedez in a handicapped parking spot. Disposition listed: arrest.

    9:52 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, First Apostolic Church on Highland Ave. A visitor reportedly came into the First Apostolic Church on Highland Avenue several weeks ago and said “that someone could come in and shoot the place up.” The man was described as argumentative and also returned on Sunday night. The church said surveillance footage was available. Disposition listed: report taken.

    12:05 p.m., Petty Theft, Dollar Tree on Sunrise Blvd. A suspect reportedly made off with $60-80 of merchandise from the Dollar Tree store on Sunrise Boulevard and left in a silver Nissan Altima. Disposition listed: report taken.

    1:23 p.m., Reckless Driving, Sunrise/Kingswood. A man in a silver Volkswagen Jetta was reportedly observed “hanging” out of his vehicle, yelling at cars and pointing his finger at other drivers. Disposition listed: advised.

    2:24 p.m., Criminal Threats Report, Quail Vista Ln. Police were advised by a woman who said she had received an email from an unknown sender who threatened to find her and “blow her face off.” Disposition listed: advised.

    7:54 p.m., Vehicle Burglary, Slippery Creek/Creekbed. An in-progress vehicle burglary was reported near Creekbed Lane, off Auburn Boulevard, where a man with a flashlight was seen attempting to open a door using a long wire in the window. He was also seen allegedly ducking down when cars would drive by. Disposition listed: assisted.

  • Citrus Heights Police Logs: homeless camps, comic book theft, burglary

    Latest police logs include $10,000 worth of comic books being reported stolen, an arrest made at a homeless camp behind Sylvan Oaks Library, glass bottles being thrown at residents, and officers being called about several boys who were asking customers outside Raley’s to “hug or hit them” for $1.

    7:53 a.m., Grand Theft, Connemara Circle. Approximately $10,000 worth of comic books were reported stolen from a location on Connemara Circle, off Dewey Drive. Police were advised that the incident occurred at some point during the past two weeks, and the caller’s cousin was listed as a possible suspect. Disposition listed: assisted.

    7:58 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Renaissance Apartments on Greenback Ln. An ongoing issue involving an unknown individual throwing glass bottles at apartments and residents was reported to police. The caller said a glass bottle had just been thrown at his wife and he wanted the bottle collected as evidence, although it didn’t hit her. Other residents had reportedly been struck and injured by the bottles. Disposition listed: advised.

    11:38 a.m., Vehicle Burglary, Winlock Ave. The passenger side of a vehicle was smashed and a laptop valued at $1,000 was stolen. The incident occurred on Winlock Ave., off Van Maren Lane. Disposition listed: report taken.

    12:39 p.m., Homeless Camp, Sylvan Oaks Library on Auburn Blvd. An occupied homeless camp with a half-dozen people in it was reported to police by a passerby. The camp was set up behind Sylvan Oaks Library and needles were observed. Disposition listed: arrest.

    10:22 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Fair Oaks Blvd. A passerby told police she thought she saw a bullet hole in a vehicle window and a person slumped over inside. Disposition listed: assisted.

    Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018: Total of 63 incidents listed.

    8:34 a.m., Vehicle Burglary, Wild Oak Dr. An officer was requested to view video of a suspect who reportedly stole some change from a vehicle on Wild Oak Drive, located off Tupelo Drive. No other items were reported stolen. According to the incident log, the caller “refused” to file an online report about the incident and instead wanted an officer to respond in person. Disposition listed: report taken.

    8:59 a.m., Petty Theft, Mariposa Ave. A woman told police that three pairs of eye glasses were missing from her home. The woman believed an unknown suspect “has a key to her house and came in and took them.” Disposition listed: advised.

    9:42 a.m., Domestic Violence, Meadows Apartments II on San Pablo Dr. A man reported that his wife “hit him in the face and threw him against the wall.” He advised police that his wife would say “he attacked her and hit himself.” Medical attention was declined. Disposition listed: report taken.

    3:40 p.m., Disturbance Loitering at Arcade Creek Manor on Auburn Blvd. A homeless man was reportedly sitting in a hot tub at a retirement community on Auburn Blvd. Police were advised that the man had also been seen going through trash cans earlier. Disposition listed: cancelled.

    5:03 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Raley’s on Lichen Dr. Three boys in front of Raley’s were asking customers to “either hug or hit them” in exchange for a dollar. The trio had reportedly been outside for three days in an attempt to raise money. The caller was worried the boys, described as 12-13 years of age, would get injured. Disposition listed: gone on arrival.

    6:08 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Rite Aid at Van Maren/Auburn. Police were advised that a woman in all-black clothing had wandered around the store for nearly two hours and then entered a restroom stall and didn’t come out for over an hour. When asked by employees if she was okay, she reportedly replied “yes,” but still did not come out. Disposition listed: arrest.

    9:00 p.m., Petty Theft, Mauana Wy. Around $400 of tools were stolen from the backyard of a residence on Friday night and were later seen online being sold on through “Offer Up.” Disposition listed: report taken.

  • Citrus Heights Police Logs: road rage, cremated remains, counterfeit bill

    Latest police logs include a road rage incident on Auburn Boulevard, cremated remains being found, a passerby reporting an in-progress burglary at a restaurant on Sunrise Boulevard, and an unusual spike in assault reports on Saturday.

    2:29 a.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Butternut Drive. An officer initiated contact with one or more people in a suspicious vehicle on Butternut Drive, resulting in at least one arrest. An hour later, another police log indicates contact was initiated with another suspicious vehicle at the Walgreens on Dewey Drive and Greenback Lane, which also resulted in an arrest.

    6:54 a.m., Fraud/Forgery, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted after a customer at Walmart tried to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill that he claimed he got from the bank. The customer was still on scene when police were called. Disposition listed: arrest.

    11:16 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Greenback Ln. A witness chased several suspects after they reportedly smashed a window of a parked vehicle on Greenback Lane and attempted to run off with a laptop. The suspects dropped the laptop while fleeing the scene. Disposition listed: report taken.

    1:49 p.m., Road Rage, Auburn/Sylvan. While driving on Auburn Boulevard, a woman told police that a driver of a Chevy pickup truck cut her off and then tried to “run her off the roadway intentionally.” Disposition listed: advised.

    5:37 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sylvan/Sylvan Valley. Police were contacted by a mortician who said he “just happened to come across cremated remains” in a bag on Sylvan Road and took it to his home. He said there was an ID number on the bag, but he was unable to determine if the remains were human or animal. Disposition listed: assisted.

    5:59 p.m., Assault, Cedar Creek Wy. A tenant at a residence near San Juan Park reported that her landlord had just kicked her. She declined medical attention, but said a visible injury was left. Disposition listed: unfounded.

    7:52 p.m., Vandalism, Lodge Coffee Shop on Auburn Blvd. A passerby advised police that 4-6 suspects were seen breaking into a newspaper stand in front of the Lodge Coffee Shop. Disposition listed: unable to locate.

    3:56 a.m., Burglary, Marie Callender’s. A driver on Sunrise Boulevard reported seeing at least two suspects breaking into the Marie Callender’s restaurant around 4 a.m. The suspects were seen carrying items from a back entrance to the front, where a white four-door vehicle was parked. Disposition listed: assisted.

    9:58 a.m., Petty Theft, Highview Ln. An unknown suspect reportedly drilled a hole into a vehicle on Highview Lane and siphoned all the gas. The caller requested an in-person report be taken and declined to file an online report. Disposition listed: report taken.

    11:08 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Community Center on Fountain Square Dr. An ongoing problem involving a transient woman using the restrooms and loitering at the Citrus Heights Community Center was reported to police. A request was made that the woman be contacted and shown on her way. Disposition listed: gone on arrival.

    11:09 a.m., Assault, Creekside Dental on Greenback Ln. An arrest was made after police were advised that a woman was assaulting a man at Creekside Dental, located near Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: arrest.

    11:58 a.m., Fraud/Forgery, Rowan Wy. A caller told police he had been contacted by the “Lottery Commission” in Madrid, Spain, and told that he won $4.5 million. The caller had reportedly “sent in excess of $150,000” and wanted to report fraud. Disposition listed: report taken.

    4:08 p.m., Domestic Violence, Mariposa/Greenback. A woman was observed jumping out of a moving vehicle that was travelling at slow speeds near Mariposa Avenue and Greenback Lane. A man was also seen allegedly grabbing her and preventing her from leaving. Disposition listed: arrest.

    6:23 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Brook Dale/Oak Forest. Police were advised that transients were possibly squatting at an abandoned home on a residential side street near Steve Cook’s Fireside Lanes. Disposition listed: unable to locate.

    8:54 p.m., Assault, Mariposa Oaks Apartments. Five roommates were reportedly fighting at an apartment complex on the 7700 block of Mariposa Avenue. No weapons were involved, but the log indicated the roommates had been drinking. Disposition listed: arrest.

    8:15 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Mariposa Apartments on Mariposa Ave. The back passenger window of a Honda CRV was broken out sometime overnight and the suspect(s) made off with a “basket of laundry.” Disposition listed: report taken.

    8:36 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Avalos Wy. Police were called after a Kia Sportage was reported stolen from a driveway on Avalos Way, in the northeastern area of the city. The vehicle had been left running in the driveway when it was stolen. Disposition listed: report taken.

    4:56 p.m., Reckless Driving, Sunrise/Old Auburn. A motorcycle was reportedly travelling northbound on Sunrise Boulevard at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Disposition listed: advised.

    12:21 a.m., Burglary, City Hall on Auburn Blvd. At least one arrest was made after three men and a woman allegedly broke into the back door of the old, temporary city hall location on Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: arrest.

    11:37 a.m., Assault, Rosswood/Antelope. The driver of a vehicle traveling on Rosswood Drive near Antelope Road “appeared to be hitting an unknown subject in the back seat,” causing the vehicle to swerve all over the road.

    4:30 p.m., Assault, Costco on Auburn Boulevard. A caller told police he was struck in the head by another customer in line while filling a gas can at the Costco fueling station. The assailant allegedly approached him, told him to speed up, and then hit him in the head with his fist after the caller said he “used profanities towards the male.” The suspect was driving an older white motorhome. Disposition listed: report taken.

    4:55 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise Tech Center on Sunrise Blvd. An uncooperative caller who refused to give a name to police said a man had thrown a frisbee at his car and demanded an officer. Disposition listed: cancelled

  • 2018 Citrus Heights Police Logs: bar trouble, burglary spike, funeral feud

    Latest police logs in Citrus Heights include reports of a patron assaulting a bouncer at the 7440 Club on Auburn Boulevard, a drunk man calling 911 and screaming profanities, seven guns stolen from a safe, a vehicle and residential burglary spike, and police being called after a verbal argument between family members at a funeral began to escalate.

    12:50 a.m., Assault, 7440 Club on Auburn Blvd. A 40-year-old patron at the bar allegedly assaulted a bouncer and then found himself on the ground in handcuffs, bleeding from the head. Several hours later, around 11:15 a.m., another police log entry stated that the patron called police and said he wanted to file assault and false imprisonment charges against several bouncers for handcuffing him and “throwing him to the ground.” The man had reportedly been told to leave, but he told the bouncers to “try to stop” him from entering the bar.     12:57 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Crosswoods Bridge. Several transients were reportedly parked with an SUV and trailer full of belongings that they were starting to spread out near Crosswoods Bridge and Auburn Boulevard. Disposition listed: arrest.

    2:23 p.m., Burglary, Zenith Dr. A woman told police that her sliding glass door had been opened and her purse was stolen, while she taking a shower. She said her car keys and garage door opener were taken, but her 2006 BMW was still parked in her garage. Disposition listed: report taken.

    7:57 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Mar Vista Wy. A drunk man called 911 and reported that a 22-year-old was “possibly trying to steal his vehicle.” The police log stated the caller was very uncooperative and was refusing to answer any questions, “just screaming profanities.” Disposition listed: unfounded.

    8:01 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Auto Zone on Auburn Blvd. A customer in his late 30s was threatening employees at the Auto Zone on Auburn Boulevard, saying he was going to assault them and making “hand gestures of a gun” at one of the employees. Disposition listed: advised.

A sibling reported that their brother had been “slapped by an older female” inside the Edgewater Apartment complex, allegedly because he was riding his scooter in the parking lot.     9:33 p.m., Suspicious circumstances, Sunrise Blvd. A woman was walking out to her car when she reportedly noticed her neighbor watching her with binoculars on Sunrise Boulevard. The woman called one of her parents, who went with two men to confront the neighbor. The neighbor allegedly hid in the back of his apartment room however, so the trio gave up and contacted police.
