The suspect reportedly “passed a note and took it back with him.” He was described as a white male adult, approximately 6-feet-2-inches in height, 160 pounds, and wearing a black cap and a dark blue long-sleeve dress shirt.     5:52 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Safeway on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted after a man tried to “fist bump” a child inside the Safeway store, which scared the girl and her mother.     6:22 p.m., Petty Theft, Sunrise Blvd. Two teens were reportedly caught on video stealing one or more packages from a front door on Sunrise Boulevard. The suspects were described as a male and female, age 15-19, with the male wearing a red hat and backpack, and the female wearing a red shirt and blue shorts, carrying a white bag.     8:32 p.m., Burglary Vehicle, C-Bar-C Park on Oak Ave. A caller told police he had been arrested earlier in the day and had returned to his vehicle only to find it had been burglarized, with all of his belongings stolen. Disposition listed: assisted.

    8:55 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, KM Dance Arts Studio on San Juan Ave. An arrest was made after police were notified that a 20-year-old man, who appeared to be high or drunk, was pacing in front of the dance studio and “looking in the windows at the girls dancing.” The caller advised police that the kids at the studio were scheduled to get out of class shortly and they were afraid he was “waiting to watch girls.” Disposition listed: arrest.

    9:17 p.m., Assault, 24 Hour Fitness on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted regarding a fight that occurred at the fitness center, which left “blood all over the ground.” Although the fight had abated, the caller said both parties involved were still outside. A woman told police she came home to find that an unknown suspect had entered her residence through an unlocked back door and stolen a checkbook, identification paperwork, and other items from her bedroom.     8:14 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, McDonald’s at Greenback/Auburn. A customer was reportedly inside McDonald’s and was “demanding french fries,” shortly after 8 a.m. After being told that they were not cooking fries yet, the customer then claimed they were discriminating against her “because she is handicapped.” She was reportedly refusing to leave the store and was videotaping employees when police were contacted. Disposition listed: gone on arrival.

    8:51 a.m., Petty Theft, Sierra Oaks Apartments on Auburn Blvd. A theft of a package from a front porch in the apartment complex was reported. Disposition listed: report taken.

A moving company truck driver contacted police after an unknown male suspect reportedly threatened to throw a rock at his co-worker.     11:47 a.m., Identity Theft, Antelope Woods Apartments on Tupelo Dr. A caller told police their ex-boyfriend had opened up a credit card in their name. Disposition listed: assisted.

    12:05 p.m., Petty Theft, Auburn Blvd. A Galaxy Note 8 phone was purchased for $400 on Craigslist, but when the buyer turned the phone on, a notification indicated the phone was listed as lost or stolen.     12:15 p.m., Assault, Auburn Blvd. A caller told police that a man had hit a woman and she fell on the ground yelling for help.     8:15 a. m., Homeless Camp, Sea Shell Ct. Code enforcement requested patrol assistance in finding a homeless camp behind a residence on Sea Shell Court, located several blocks from the intersection of Greenback Lane and Dewey Drive. Disposition listed: assisted.

    11:41 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, Sagitarius Way. A woman called police to report that a man in her backyard claiming to work for Comcast was currently “up on the pole” and refusing to leave. The woman had asked for the mans ID number which refused to give her and Comcast had reportedly confirmed that he was not supposed to be there. She said the only way he could have gained access to the backyard was to jump her fence. Disposition listed: Advised

Police responded to a report of a man panhandling in front of the Smart & Final on Auburn Blvd. The man was described as “frequently there” and had made comments to passerby’s that he would “have sex for money.” Disposition listed: advised.

    1:23 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Walmart Market on Sunrise Blvd. Police were advised that a white Toyota Tundra had just pulled into the Walmart Market parking lot. The caller believed the vehicle was “similar to the truck that was flashing people,” apparently in reference to recent media reports about two incidents of indecent exposure in the area involving a man in a white Tundra pickup.     10:16 a.m., Petty Theft, Longford/Greenback. A man reported that someone who was staying with him had been allegedly been stealing his clothes, along with a stapler and various other items. No further description of the suspect was provided. Disposition listed: advised.

    11:46 a.m., Assault, Weideman Professional Dental, Pebble Beach/Sunrise. A woman filed a report in-person at the police station, alleging that while she was accompanying her daughter to the dentist on April 24, someone “grabbed her by her arm to get her away from her daughter” and caused a bruise. The woman stated she “believes it was her other daughter,” but was unsure. The suspects were described as a Hispanic adult male with glasses and a grey hat, who was accompanied by a white adult female wearing jeans with holes, and tattoos on her neck and arms.     11:49 a.m., Domestic Violence, Donut King on Greenback Ln. An arrest was made after a man and woman reportedly got into a verbal argument that was causing a disturbance at Donut King.

    2:55 p.m., Grand Theft, Twin Oaks Ave. A caller told police that two rings, valued over $950, went missing after an HVAC company was inside her residence. She said the company was requiring a police report. Disposition listed: report taken.

    6:23 p.m., Vandalism, Westwood Park on Butternut Drive. A transient couple was reportedly observed cutting a chain link fence at the park to gain access to an area near Interstate 80. Disposition listed: checks ok.

Police were advised that the hydrant was resting about 10 feet from where it should be, and there were tire marks on the ground near the hydrant.     7:49 a.m., Assault, Old Auburn/Glen Echo. An arrest was made after a man was reportedly observed with his hands around a woman’s neck during an argument. Disposition listed: arrest.

    8:54 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Old Auburn Rd. A neighbor reported that a boarded-up home on Old Auburn Road, described as “the hoarder house,” had an ongoing problem with a former tenant loitering on the property.     4:03 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Raleys on Lichen Dr. Police were notified of ongoing problems with a group of a half-dozen transients who reportedly live on the side of the Raley’s building on Lichen Drive.     10:55 a.m., Brandishing Weapon, 7-Eleven at Sperry/San Juan. A woman told police that a man standing next to the convenience store had threatened to stab her with a knife if she didn’t give him money. Disposition listed: arrest.

    1:27 p.m., Robbery, Sunrise Vista/Sunrise East. A group of teenagers allegedly demanded money and a phone from a man near Sunrise Vista Drive and Sunrise East Way, sometime between 9:30-11 a.m..     12:54 p.m., Identity Theft, in-person report. A man came to the police department and stated that for several years his brother “has been using his name when he gets arrested.” Another incident log on the same day indicated that the man may have been “impersonated” by his brother during a traffic stop that occurred last September.     3:59 p.m., Petty Theft, Smart & Final on Madison Ave. Three suspects reportedly ran off with about $150 of meat from the Smart & Final store at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard.     10:08 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Rusch Park. A “large amount” of homeless people were reportedly refusing to leave an area of Rusch Park where a family had rented a space for a 1-year-old’s birthday party.     11:58 a.m., Vandalism, Java Cherry on Van Maren Ln.
