    2:53 a.m., Vandalism, Shell station at Sunrise/Greenback. Several transients were reportedly kicking and breaking things inside the car wash area of the Shell gas station at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane. Police were also advised that marijuana could be smelled in the area,

    9:25 a.m., Petty Theft, Elephant Bar at Sunrise Mall. Money was reportedly missing from a safe at Elephant Bar. There were no signs of forced entry.

    10:04 a.m., Homeless Camp at Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Several homeless camps were reported in the nature preserve area around Walmart.

    11:26 a.m., Vandalism, Goodwill Express at Antelope/Lichen. Someone reportedly broke into a Goodwill Express donation box and then “urinated and defecated on the remaining items in the box.” Several items were also stolen from the donation box.

    11:48 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Barnes & Noble on Sunrise Blvd. An individual who had reportedly been drinking was “laying on the ground by the doors, screaming.”

    3:12 p.m., Petty Theft, Tokyo Buffet on Greenback Ln. A woman called police and said she had video of someone at work stealing her phone from off a table inside the restaurant.

    3:36 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Parrot Planet on Auburn Blvd. A customer reportedly went to Parrot Planet to make a purchase, but called police after she found the door to the business locked, with lights on inside.

    4:21 p.m., Assault w/Weapon, Keyesport Wy. A client at an unspecified location on Keyesport Way, near the Big Oak Mobile Home park, reportedly suffered a head injury after “another resident threw a metal coffee cup and split his head open.”

    5:55 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Stones Casino on Antelope Rd. A Ford F-350 diesel truck was reported stolen from the parking lot at Stones Casino.

    6:48 p.m., Shoplifting, Target on Sunrise Blvd. Police were advised by personnel at Target that a shoplifter had been apprehended. The suspect was described as cooperative, with the value of items attempted to be stolen listed at less than $950.

    7:18 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Grand Oaks Blvd. A man wearing a “hazmat suit” was reportedly seen near a propane barbecue tank in a backyard on Grand Oaks Boulevard. Police were advised that the man was “possibly cooking meth, due to glassware near the tank.”

    Latest police logs include reports of several parked vehicles being sideswiped by a suspected DUI driver on Mariposa Avenue, a disturbance outside a massage establishment on Sunrise Boulevard, and a driver having their vehicle stolen after it ran out of gas and was parked overnight at an auto parts store.

    1:31 a.m., Suspicious Vehicle, C & C Marine on Auburn Blvd. Officer-initiated activity was listed involving a vehicle facing the wrong way on the 7800 block of Auburn Boulevard, with the vehicle missing the front “rim assembly” on the driver’s side.

    10:24 a.m., Burglary, Stonehand Ave. One or more suspects reportedly made entry to a residence on a sidestreet near Antelope Road and Saybrook Drive. Entry was made by kicking in a garage door sometime during the night. Multiple items were reported stolen.

    11:49 a.m. Reckless Driving, Patton/Watson. Police were requested to do an area check for a Cadillac Escalade that reportedly had been speeding and running through the stop sign at Patton Avenue and Watson Way “every weekday morning.”

    12:57 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise Blvd. Police were notified that a man was yelling at someone inside a massage establishment on Sunrise Boulevard.

    2:28 p.m., Collision Non-Injury, Mariposa/Loleta. Several parked cars near Mariposa and Loleta avenues were reportedly side-swiped by a driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

    4:24 p.m., Homeless Camp, A & A Stepping Stone on Auburn Blvd. Two homeless individuals had reportedly set up camp and were starting a fire in the rear of a commercial property on Auburn Boulevard. The caller was unsure if the fire was intended for warmth.

    5:36 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, O’Reilly Auto Parts on Greenback Ln. A caller told police their white Ford Focus had been left overnight in a parking lot after the vehicle ran out of gas. Upon returning the following day, the vehicle was gone.

    5:38 p.m., Assault, Greenback/Arcadia. Police were called by a parent after an unknown man reportedly swung at their daughter while she was riding a bike, hitting her across the chest and knocking her off the bicycle.

    6:52 p.m., Brandishing Weapon, Dollar General on Auburn Blvd. A transient reportedly pulled out a folding pocket knife after being told to leave by an employee at Dollar General.

    11:48 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Stones Casino. A caller told police that their parked vehicle had just been hit by another vehicle outside Stones Casino. The other driver was reportedly denying the collision occurred and “became verbal.”

    2:42 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Footman/Carriage Dr. A woman said she was driving near Mesa Verde High School shortly before 3 a.m. when an unknown man “charged at her car while holding his own mouth.” No other details were included in the log entry.

    8:44 a.m., Grand Theft, Willowleaf Dr. Items totaling over $95o were reported missing from a residence on a side street near Van Maren Lane.

    10:17 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Hunters 4×4. A truck was reported stolen overnight from a specialty off-road shop on Cook Avenue, near Auburn Boulevard. Another log entry that morning indicated the vehicle may have been recovered.

    10:59 a.m., Burglary, Yarrow Wy. Police were notified that several pieces of jewelry had been stolen from a residence on Yarrow Way, near Fair Oaks Boulevard.

    12:37 p.m., Homeless Camp, City Hall on Fountain Square Dr. A homeless camp was reported in a creek “behind the City Hall and Sam’s Club.”

    1:48 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Blvd. Police were advised of an ongoing issue involving transients cutting holes in a back fence and stealing mail and packages.

    2:52 p.m., Petty Theft, City Hall on Fountain Square Dr. Gas was reportedly stolen from vehicles in the Corp Yard at City Hall.

    5:16 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Antelope Rd. A woman called and said she wanted the police department “to pick up bags of feces and urine” that had been left in her garbage can. The incident was listed as a verbal disturbance, but no further information was included in the log entry.

    6:29 p.m., Hit and Run Non-Injury, Greenback Gardens Apartments on Burich Ave. A caller said their step-father’s vehicle had been struck by another neighbor’s vehicle, in an apparent hit-and-run collision.

    6:33 p.m., Shoplifting, Target on Sunrise Blvd. Police were notified that a “cooperative shoplifter” had been detained at the Target store on Sunrise Boulevard. The attempted theft involved items valued under $950.

    10:30 p.m., Collision Non-Injury, Nantucket Condos on San Juan Ave. Police were contacted by a driver who said they had just hit and killed a cat while driving on San Juan Avenue and had stopped their vehicle in the middle lane of traffic.

    12:12 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Fireside Lanes on Auburn Blvd. Police assistance was requested in asking an individual to leave who was reportedly using drugs inside a bathroom at the Fireside Lanes bowling alley.

    11:28 a.m., Homeless Camp, Auburn Bridge at Halifax/Auburn. A homeless camp was reportedly being set up “under and around” a bridge.

    11:41 a.m., Vandalism, Sunrise Mall. Police were advised by a vehicle owner that he had just witnessed a man break the window of his car with a rock.

    1:59 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Round Table Pizza on Greenback Ln. Police were notified that a counterfeit $100 bill was available for pickup at Round Table Pizza. (The U.S. Dept. of Treasury advises those who come into contact with counterfeit money to surrender the bill to police or the Secret Service, although financial remuneration is not offered.)

    4:32 p.m., Shoplifting, Old Navy on Birdcage Centre Ln. A shoplifter was reportedly stopped and property was recovered, but police were contacted after the suspect left. The value of the items was listed as under $950.

    5:41 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Big Oak Dr. Police were notified that a truck that had just been stolen on Big Oak Drive, a side street off Old Auburn Road near Twin Oaks Avenue. Two hours later, another call was received from a caller on Big Oak Drive, who said Chase Bank had called and said suspects “were trying to withdrawal $260 from the bank and was declined.”

    9:02 p.m., Petty Theft, Magic Ct. Several suspects reportedly came to buy a dog from a residence, but apparently made off without paying. Although the incident log does not include additional details, police provided additional details in a Facebook post several days later. Police said a woman selling a puppy from her home had become a victim after two suspects purchased the dog using counterfeit cash and then stole her wallet and proceeded to fraudulently use her credit cards. The suspects were later arrested.

    11:21 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Blvd. Police were contacted by an apartment resident after unknown individuals reportedly began drilling the lock out on the caller’s front door.

    11:39 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Twin Oaks/Crestmont. A female was reportedly screaming and was observed being forced by a male into a vehicle.

    Latest police logs include $10,000 worth of tools being stolen from a shipping container outside the old Kmart building, garbage cans being set on fire in a residential neighborhood, and three separate shoplifting incidents at Target — each resulting in the suspect being detained.

    1:51 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Stones Casino on Antelope Rd. A customer who had been drinking was refusing to leave the casino and was reportedly being belligerent.

    7:20 a.m., Burglary at old Kmart on Auburn Blvd. About $10,000 in tools were stolen from a Conex box at the old Kmart building on Auburn Boulevard. The box, a large shipping container, had reportedly been broken into sometime overnight.

    7:41 a.m., Grand Theft, Terrell Dr. A money order was allegedly taken out of a drop box and cashed by an unknown suspect.

    7:49 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Longford Dr. A vehicle was reportedly stolen overnight from a residential location near Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard.

    11:52 a.m., Arson, Westbrook Dr. Several garbage cans were reportedly set on fire around 4:30 a.m. on a residential street near Arlington Heights Elementary.

    12:25 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Leonard Ave. A caller told police they had “provided limited information to a subject claiming to be from the DEA.”

    1:14 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Antelope/I-80. Police were advised that someone was observed “lining up rocks on edge of overpass,” where Antelope Road crosses Interstate 80.

    1:56 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Waggin Tails Doggie Daycare on Auburn Blvd. An ongoing issue involving several transient men “loitering and leaving jars of urine and feces” in a parking lot was reported to police.

    4:55 p.m., Reckless Driving, Lichen K-8. Police were advised to be on the look out for a reckless driver who reportedly was speeding and ran through a stop sign near Lichen K-8.

    9:22 p.m., Shoplifting, Target. Police were contacted after a shoplifter who did not have identification was taken into custody at the Target store on Sunrise Boulevard. Separate police logs indicate that two other shoplifters were also caught at the store the same day. The reported value of items stolen in each case was less than $950.

    8:46 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Brookhaven Wy. A police report was made regarding a vehicle that was stolen overnight from a location on a residential street off Greenback Lane. Another stolen vehicle was reported later the same day at 7:06 p.m., from Autumn Ridge Apartments on Shadow Lane.

    11:34 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sunrise Mall. Police were advised that a dumpster behind the Mall’s movie theater had “a lot of blood in it.” No other details were included in the log description.

    12:22 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Rusch Park. A caller said he was confronted by a man with a gun in his backpack at Rusch Park. The caller said the man accused him of “taking his dog” and told him “the gun was for him.”

    2:07 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sunrise Animal Hospital on Sunrise Blvd. A man reportedly came into the veterinary hospital and was making “inappropriate comments” to employees.

    2:16 p.m., Vandalism, Rusch Park. A toilet at the park had reportedly been damaged in a vandalism incident and was causing water to flood all over the floor.

    2:31 p.m., Criminal Threats Report, Kingsmen Ave. Police were contacted by a cat owner who advised the dispatcher that a man had threatened to shoot their cat and said he “was going to get his gun.”

    3:31 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sunrise Mall. A male, whose age was not specified, called police and said his mother “took his cell phone, money and backpack and left him at the mall.”

    3:35 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Greenback/Auburn. A woman was reportedly “waving a knife at everyone around” while walking in the roadway near the intersection of Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard.

    5:05 p.m., Petty Theft, Stones Casino. Police were contacted about an employee at Stones Casino who had been “stealing chips.”

    7:05 p.m., Assault, McDonald’s at Greenback/Auburn. A man inside a vehicle outside McDonald’s was reportedly observed hitting and choking a female.

    8:49 p.m., Burglary, Navion Dr. A home near Interstate 80 was burglarized by one or more suspects who reportedly entered through a side garage and shut power off to the house.

    1:58 a.m., Driving Under the Influence, Corner Pocket at Sunrise/Antelope. Police were contacted after a patron who had been drinking at the Corner Pocket Sports Bar left the location in a vehicle and had “refused an Uber.”

    2:50 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, 7440 Club on Auburn Blvd. A woman told police she believed she had been given a date rape drug while at the 7440 Club on Auburn Boulevard. She said she had vomited and still felt sick.

    9:00 a.m., Fraud/Forgery, McDonald’s at Old Auburn/Sunrise. A man reported purchasing a vehicle from another party in the McDonald’s parking lot, but later was advised by the Department of Motor Vehicles that the paperwork he was given for the vehicle used a fake Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

    10:17 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Grocery Outlet on Greenback Ln. Police were advised about an ongoing issue with a shoplifter who was attempting to refund a product that was stolen from the store.

    12:24 p.m., Burglary, Ranch Ave. A house and garage were reportedly broken into on Ranch Avenue, located off San Juan Avenue. About 30 minutes later, police also received a separate call regarding a burglary that had occurred overnight on Arcade Lake Ln., near Sayonara Drive.

    12:43 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Greenback/Auburn. A transient at a bus stop near Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard reportedly got into a verbal confrontation with another individual who contacted police. Several minutes later, police received another call about a female at a bus stop at the same intersection who allegedly “threw a lit cigarette” in the caller’s face.

    5:48 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Antelope Woods Apartments on Tupelo Dr. Police were contacted after a woman who was babysitting at an apartment complex near Stones Casino came out to find her vehicle had been stolen.

    7:09 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Kohl’s on San Juan Ave. A man was reportedly observed ripping tags off clothes inside Kohl’s and was also concealing merchandise. He was still inside the store when police were contacted.

    8:27 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Brookhaven Way. Six men were reportedly working on a vehicle in front of a home on Brookhaven Way, located off Greenback Lane. Police were advised that the vehicle was releasing so many fumes that it was “making it hard to breathe on the whole street.”

    10:03 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Westchester Wy. A man told police that his wife had just hit and pushed him.

    10:31 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Safeway on Greenback Ln. A man who had just had his bike stolen from outside Safeway reportedly proceeded to get into a verbal argument with employees and was “threatening to shoot people.”

    8:44 a.m., Grand Theft, 7440 Club on Auburn Blvd. A man called police to report that his phone had been stolen eight days ago when he was at the 7440 Club on Auburn Boulevard. The incident was listed as grand theft, indicating the phone was valued over $950.

    9:51 a.m., Reckless Driving, Lichen/Treelark. Police were contacted after a driver reported that a silver Nissan had almost crashed into their vehicle and then sideswiped a light pole several blocks from Westwood Park.

    1:16 p.m., Homeless Camp, Stock Ranch Nature Preserve. A homeless camp was reportedly set up next to the foot bridge behind Costco, along with more tents set up along another portion of a creek in the area.

    2:10 p.m., Homeless Camp, HD Supply on Arcadia Dr. Three separate homeless camps were reportedly set up near HD Supply. Police were advised of past issues involving drugs and trash being left in the area.

    2:47 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Sayonara Dr. Police were contacted by a caller who said their stepmother had loaned their vehicle and then hid it and was refusing to return it.

    3:53 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances. A neighbor was allegedly stealing power from a nearby house. Police were advised that an extension cord was seen going from the neighbor’s home to another home’s power box.

    4:17 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Antelope/Garden Gate. Police were contacted about a man who had reportedly been seen “drinking and grabbing his crotch towards passing vehicles” on Antelope Road. He was seen twice at the location in a four-hour period and was last seen throwing an empty beer can.

    6:57 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Antelope/I-80. A concerned caller notified police that a vehicle had been seen exiting the freeway at Antelope Road with “blood all over” its back bumper and marks indicating it had hit something.

    10:04 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Grand Oaks Bingo Parlor. An upset caller told police a vehicle had pulled out of the parking lot at the bingo hall and almost sideswiped the caller’s vehicle.

    1:23 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Stonehand Ave. A caller reportedly saw a man being dragged into a house on a sidestreet near Antelope Road.

    8:46 a.m., Petty Theft, Greenback Gardens Apartments on Burich Ave. Police were advised that six fire extinguishers had been broken into at an apartment complex, with the culprit(s) stealing the extinguishers and using them.

    10:17 a.m., Assault w/Weapon, Sunrise/Woodmore Oaks. A man told police his wife was chasing him in a car and was “trying to ram him.” He was currently driving in circles in the parking lot of 7-Eleven on Woodmore Oaks Drive.

    2:33 p.m., Burglary, Batteries Plus Bulbs on Greenback Ln. Someone reportedly cut the lock off a gate and stole fuel from a vehicle by cutting a fuel line on the truck.

    3:32 p.m., Assault, Emily’s Guest Home on Kanai Ave. A “violent resident” was allegedly assaulting staff at an elderly care home on Kanai Avenue, off Auburn Boulevard. No weapons or injuries were reported.

    4:06 p.m., Petty Theft, Terrell Dr. A woman with a shopping cart was reportedly observed taking mail out of two different mailboxes on a sidestreet near Burlington Coat Factory. Police were advised that the woman had fled into a nearby creek area after neighbors started chasing her.

    4:43 p.m., Burglary, Rollingwood Blvd. An unknown suspect reportedly broke into a residence through a side door and made off with a laptop and gaming console.

    4:44 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Black Oaks Way. A parent told police that his 15-year-old had been befriended at church by a registered sex offender listed on the state Megan’s Law database. Police were told that the man in question had since been asked to not return to the church.

    5:40 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Sunrise Center Apartments on Sunrise Vista Drive. A caller told police they had become a victim of fraud after receiving a call from an individual claiming to be with “Social Security.” The caller had provided the fraudster with their social security number and also provided a gift card for $360.

    5:10 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Duval St. Police were advised that a neighbor was observed at a fenced-off home in a mobile home park located near the northern border of Citrus Heights. He was allegedly not supposed to be at the site, “because he attempted to blow it up and burn it down.”

    8:49 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances. Police responded to an incident at San Juan High School possibly involving a student with a gun. The incident was listed as officer-initiated activity, rather than a report made by a private party or school staff. No further details were listed in the police log.

    9:44 a.m., Burglary, Five Star Appliance Repair on Madison Ave. An unknown suspect reportedly broke through the ceiling of an appliance repair shop and stole a recovery system on a refrigerator and cameras.

    9:58 a.m. Disturbance Loitering, Rocky’s Hair Cut Salon on Sunrise Blvd. Between 20 and 30 transients were reportedly observed behind a hair cut salon at Sunrise Boulevard and Antelope Road. The caller was unsure whether they were loitering or setting up camp, but felt it was dangerous due to the number of people involved.

    10:49 a.m., Homeless Camp, Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Blvd. At least a dozen transients had reportedly set up three tents in the abandoned golf course behind the Montage Apartments. A Pit Bull Terrier was also observed at the camp site.

    12:23 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Clear View Dr. A caller said they paid cash for some home repairs to be performed, but the suspect took the money and left.

    12:34 p.m., Grand Theft, Kohls on San Juan Ave. Police were contacted after a shoplifter made off with a duffel bag full of merchandise from Kohls. The suspect left in a white four-door vehicle with tinted windows.

    12:57 p.m., Robbery, Sprouts Farmers Market at Greenback/Sunrise. A suspect wearing a large backpack reportedly stole an unspecified amount of items from Sprouts and had lifted his shirt up to show a concealed knife.

    2:59 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Creekside Chiropractic Office on Old Auburn Rd. Four transients, one of whom was carrying a tent or tarp, were seen entering the property where a boarded-up chiropractic office is located on Old Auburn Road, near Sunrise Boulevard. The caller said several transients were also observed entering the property the prior day.

    6:48 p.m., Vandalism, Woodglen Apartments on Mariposa Ave. A rock was reportedly tossed into a resident’s living room window, breaking the outside pane. The caller suspected kids in the area were likely to blame.

    7:20 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Taco Bell near Greenback/Auburn. Police were contacted about an ongoing problem with a transient woman going through the dumpsters and then coming inside and saying she “found bugs in her food.”

    10:46 p.m., Petty Theft, Sloop Ct. A caller told police her dog had been stolen by some friends, although she did not see them take the dog. She also said she had gone to her friends’ home and they told her they did not have her dog.
