    4:41 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Sky Vista Ct. A witness reported a vehicle burglary had just occurred on a small court near Tupelo Drive. The suspect was walking away at the time police were contacted.

    7:57 a.m., Domestic Violence, Birdcage Village Apartments on Birdcage St. A man was reportedly seen punching a female in an apartment parking lot on Birdcage Street.

    10:59 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Sierra Square Apartments on Targa Circle. Police were notified that a vehicle had been stolen overnight from an apartment complex near Sunrise East Way and Fair Oaks Boulevard.

    11:22 a.m., Petty Theft, Macy’s Men’s. Two men reportedly walked out of Macy’s with more than $700 worth of Levi’s clothing.

    12:12 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Raley’s on Lichen Drive. A man was observed “jumping on a vehicle” in the Raley’s parking lot, with a female inside the vehicle.

    3:21 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Northgrove Wy. Police were contacted by a man who said he received a call telling him he had won a new car. He was then told to open a bank account and has now lost $14,000. The man said he wanted to file a police report and advised police he had already filed a case with his bank.

    4:16 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Dollar Tree on Greenback Ln. A transient man on a bike was reportedly seen “carrying a rifle with a scope” on near the intersection of Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard.

    5:54 p.m., Shoplifting, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted after a shoplifter was taken into custody by security at the Walmart store on Auburn Boulevard. The value of items taken was listed at under $950.

    5:59 p.m., Petty Theft, Chevron at Auburn/Greenback. Police were called on a woman who was inside a Chevron gas station convenience store eating an item she didn’t pay for.

    10:42 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Food Maxx on Sunrise Blvd. A man and a woman in a wheelchair were reportedly “in the restroom for a long period of time” at the Food Maxx store on Sunrise Boulevard.

    11:55 p.m., Petty Theft, Shady Crest Wy. Three bicycles were reportedly stolen from a backyard on Shady Crest Way, located near the Foxwood Apartments off Sandalwood Way.

    1:25 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Greenback/Shupe. Police dispatchers received a call after 1 a.m. where a female could be heard screaming “Why did you hit my son,” and a male saying “I’m trying to sleep.” No other information was listed in the log.

    6:14 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Melva St. A vehicle was reportedly stolen from a driveway on side street off Oak Avenue, near C-Bar-C Park.

    7:51 a.m., Collision Unknown Injury, Sunrise/Stanford. A collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle was reported on Sunrise Boulevard near Madera Park. Another incident involving a vehicle and a bicycle was reported later the same evening at Lichen and Mountainside drives.

    12:19 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Citibank on Sunrise Blvd. A caller told police that their elderly father’s caregiver had tried to get him to empty his bank account.

    1:30 p.m., Petty Theft, Mariposa/Old Auburn. Police were contacted by a witness who said they had just seen a suspect in a silver Chevy Colorado steal some mail at a residence on Mariposa Avenue and then leave going towards Old Auburn Road.

    2:12 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Round Table Pizza on Lichen Drive. Police were advised that a man had just left Round Table Pizza “with a gun in his hand.” The caller said they “saw him pull it out of his pants and try to pass it to another subject that was standing in the store.”

    2:51 p.m., Homeless Camp, San Juan Park. Two apparently homeless men were reportedly spreading out a tent at San Juan Park.

    3:39 p.m., Petty Theft, Kohl’s on San Juan Ave. Two women reportedly walked out of Kohl’s with a curling iron that wasn’t paid for.

    5:19 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Pretty Girl Ct. A resident on Pretty Girl Court reported that two individuals were in a verbal argument in front of their residence. The court is located off Broken Bow Drive, near Indian River Drive and Greenback Lane.

    6:01 p.m., Vandalism, Mariposa Ave. A resident on Mariposa Avenue reported that an unknown individual had thrown an egg at their home.

    7:07 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, San Juan High School on Greenback Ln. Several transients were reportedly in the dugout of the varsity baseball field at San Juan High School.

    7:10 p.m., Petty Theft, Duval St. A caller told police that her friend had taken over $150 of medication from her sometime during the past several days.

    7:11 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Millwood Drive. Several people were reportedly living in a camping trailer while doing remodeling or construction work on a residence in a neighborhood near Stones Casino.

    8:40 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, at Edgewater Apartments on Sunrise Vista Dr. About a dozen adults were seen approaching vehicles and trying door handles in an apartment complex on Sunrise Boulevard.

    8:23 a.m., Reckless Driving, Antelope/I-80. Police were contacted by a caller who said occupants of a truck were reportedly “throwing stuff” out of the vehicle at them.

    8:47 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Lynnetree/Sungarden. An elderly man was reportedly seen urinating on a van in a residential neighborhood near the FoodMaxx shopping plaza on Sunrise Boulevard.

    11:02 a.m., Petty Theft, Kohls on San Juan Ave. A shopper was believed to be overheard inside a Kohl’s fitting area removing tags from items. Several hours later police were contacted again regarding a Kohl’s customer who left without paying for a pair of shoes, valued at $55.

    11:11 a.m., Reckless Driving, Greenback/Indian River. A driver was reportedly seen driving erratically on Greenback Lane with her “mouth hanging open.” Police were told the driver had almost hit another vehicle.

    12:32 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Living Word Christian Fellowship on Greenback Ln. Several individuals were asked to leave the church premises on Sunday, but were still reportedly loitering at the location.

    1:00 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Starbucks at Sylvan Corners. Two customers were reportedly “yelling at staff” inside Starbucks.

    1:04 p.m., Grand Theft, Sunrise Center Apartments on Sunrise Vista Dr. A vehicle owner reported that their catalytic converter had been stolen. Another vehicle had a muffler reported stolen an hour later, from the Greenback Gardens Apartments.

    1:20 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Regan Ct. Police were contacted by a man who said his motorcycle had been stolen three years ago, but was never reported.

    2:24 p.m., Vandalism, Kelly Moore Paint on Greenback Ln. The gas line of a work vehicle parked at Kelly Moore Paint was reportedly cut overnight, and fuel from the vehicle was taken.

    5:14 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Vintage Oaks Senior Apartments on Stock Ranch Rd. A vehicle was reportedly stolen from a senior apartment complex on Stock Ranch Road. It had last been seen the prior day at 3:30 p.m. The caller was confirmed to be in possession of the only keys to the vehicle.

    6:52 p.m., Assault, Urgent Care Now at Fair Oaks Blvd. A male was reportedly observed hitting a female in a vehicle parked outside an urgent care center at the intersection of Sunrise and Fair Oaks boulevards.

    8:33 p.m., Petty Theft, Red Robin on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted after a customer left the restaurant without paying a $60 bill.

    4:45 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Brittany Way. Police were contacted by a resident who said she woke up to a “whistling sound” shortly before 5 a.m. The woman told police she thought there was “an unidentifiable animal hiding in her daughter’s coat rack.”

    8:29 a.m., Burglary, Sierra Oaks Apartments on Auburn Blvd. A caller said they believed someone had tried to break into their apartment on the 7600 block of Auburn Boulevard overnight.

    8:31 a.m., Assault, Boost Mobile at Auburn/Greenback. A homeless woman reportedly punched a pedestrian while she was walking across a crosswalk at Auburn Boulevard and Greenback Lane.

    11:28 a.m., Collision Non Injury, 7-Eleven at Mariposa/Greenback. Someone reportedly backed into a patrol vehicle in the 7-Eleven parking lot.

    12:10 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, San Juan Park. A resident said they had just received a call from a neighbor “advising someone is at the location trying to sell their fence panels.”

    2:32 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Greenback Ln. Transients reportedly broke into an abandoned barber shop on Greenback Lane and were outside arguing in front of the building.

    3:32 p.m., Assault, Crosswood Oak Retirement Community. Police were advised that an assault involving a carpet cleaner and a tenant had occurred at a retirement community off Auburn Boulevard.

    3:35 p.m., Petty Theft, Ulta on Sunrise Blvd. Three known suspects reportedly stole $400 worth in items from Ulta. The individuals had reportedly been inside the store several times the same week.

    6:01 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sperry Drive. A “possible transient subject” reportedly walked into a house and out the back door yelling that he knew the caller’s son. The caller told police that they do not have a son.

    6:30 p.m., Grand Theft, Old Navy on Birdcage Centre Ln. Three women reportedly walked out of Old Navy with approximately $1,000 in items they did not pay for.

    11:11 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Copperwood Apartments on Locher Wy. A resident contacted police after observing an individual use a “pushbar” to climb over an apartment fence. When the resident asked if the individual lived at the apartments, the resident was told to “mind their own business.”

    7:48 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Post Office on Zenith Drive. The drive-up mailbox outside the Post Office on Zenith Drive reportedly had been pried open.

    9:18 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Mesa Verde High School on Carriage Drive. A caller told police they were transporting a passenger who “grabbed the steering wheel and then got out of the car and fled on foot.”

    10:49 a.m., Burglary Vehicle. A vehicle was reportedly burglarized outside the Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Boulevard.

    11:55 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Apache Way. Police were notified that several individuals were observed cutting down a large tree in a manner that appeared unsafe, using an old truck and a rope to pull the tree down.

    12:58 p.m., Petty Theft, Longford Drive. An ongoing problem was again reported to police, involving unknown subjects entering a woman’s residence “and exchanging her expensive clothing with cheaper clothing.” A similar log entry was also reported on March 24.

    1:38 p.m., Reckless Driving, Mariposa/Antelope. Police were called after a semi truck driver reportedly blew through a red light on Antelope Road.

    2:24 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Wachtel Way. A couple was observed “dropping chairs, tables and other items” in the front yard of a residence on Wachtel Way.

    2:30 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Falworth St. A tenant said she was being evicted and the homeowner was reportedly refusing to let her get her bicycle from the backyard.

    2:45 p.m., Vandalism, Pastor’s Auto Care at Sunrise/Old Auburn. Police were notified that a customer had driven off with a gas pump line, ripping it from the machine and leaving the scene.

    10:49 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Ziebell Ct. A vehicle owner called police after seeing a man breaking into his car “with shoes on his hands.”

The Citrus Heights Police Department received a call regarding an SUV reportedly “driving on railroad tracks and unable to maintain lanes,” somewhere off South Cirby Way. The incident appears to have been located outside of Citrus Heights. No further details were listed.

    7:04 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Del Taco on Greenback Ln. A transient male was reportedly sitting in the drive-thru lane of Del Taco and was refusing to move.

    8:05 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Sunrise East Wy. Police were advised that a tan and black 2012 Mini Cooper Clubman was stolen sometime overnight on Sunrise East Way. The caller believed she may have left her keys in the door.

    8:56 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Starbucks on Auburn Blvd. A male was reportedly sitting inside Starbucks with a large knife on his belt, although he was not making any threats or brandishing the knife.

    9:26 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Longford Drive. A woman told police she believed there was an ongoing issue with an unknown individual who “has been getting into her residence while at work and switching her clothing with lower quality clothing.” The woman said no signs of forced entry were visible.

    3:07 p.m., Petty Theft, Kohl’s on San Juan Ave. A man reportedly walked out of Kohl’s with a $70 pair of shoes, but did not pay for the item. A description of the man’s vehicle was provided to police.

    3:31 p.m., Domestic Violence, Purslane Way. Police received a call from a passerby who said a woman in her thirties said she had just been battered by her boyfriend. The woman appeared to be under the influence and requested an ambulance due to a broken finger. She was also crying and holding her neck.

    3:58 p.m., Collision Injury, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. A female was hit by a car near Walmart and was reportedly bleeding from her head.

    7:40 p.m., Petty Theft, Black Angus on Greenback Ln. Police were advised by a caller who said they had left their Samsung Galaxy smartphone in front of the Black Angus restaurant near Greenback Lane and Sunrise Boulevard. After returning, the owner said the phone was gone but was being tracked to a location near Madison Avenue and Auburn Boulevard.

    8:20 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Paradise Laundry on Greenback Ln. A man in his thirties was reportedly inside a laundromat “touching his genitals through his pockets” and then offering his hand to some minors at the location.

    10:00 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, China Buffet on Sunrise Blvd. Police were requested to check the roof of the now-vacant China Buffet restaurant on Sunrise Boulevard. Police logs indicate officers were also requested to check the same location the prior day for a similar issue.

    9:17 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Wells Fargo on Sunrise Blvd. A contractor who was boarding up an old bank building on Sunrise Boulevard notified police that previous boards had been taken down and a transient was standing outside.

    10:20 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Birdcage Village Apartments on Birdcage St. Police were advised that at least four vehicles had been burglarized at an apartment complex on Birdcage Street.

    10:41 a.m., Hit/Run Non-Injury, Kenneth Ave. A resident told police she had walked outside and found that a vehicle had hit her retaining wall at some point during the night. She said bricks were all over her driveway and vehicle parts had been left behind.

    12:36 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sunrise East Wy. Kids were reportedly observed chasing and kicking a baby duck at an apartment complex on Sunrise East Way. Police were advised that video footage was available.

    12:45 p.m., Burglary Vehicle, Saybrook Dr. Following an overnight vehicle burglary, the owner called police and said he believed he had found the stolen items listed for sale online on Offer Up and had contacted the seller who was willing to meet at a nearby shopping center.

    1:24 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Burger King on Sunrise Blvd. At least three transients were reportedly observed in a dumpster outside Burger King.

    2:04 p.m., Assault, Auto Zone on Sunrise Blvd. Police were called after an employee at Auto Zone was reportedly observed “fighting with a shoplifter.”

    3:10 p.m., Collision Injury, Sunrise/Highland. A three-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard, with smoke coming from one of the vehicles and a man with a bleeding arm.

    4:35 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, 24 Hour Fitness on Auburn Blvd. Police were advised that a white Nissan sedan was stolen from a fitness center at the corner of Auburn Boulevard and Van Maren Lane. Keys to the vehicle were reportedly taken from an unlocked locker, along with a cell phone and wallet.

    5:27 p.m., Hit/Run Non-Injury, Carriage Elementary on Carriage Drive. A Honda sedan reportedly crashed into a light pole and fence outside Carriage Drive Elementary, knocking the pole down. Two females and a male fled the scene on foot.

    6:30 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, China Buffet on Sunrise Blvd. Officers were requested to check the roof for possible transient activity at the currently vacant China Buffet building on Sunrise Boulevard.

    2:17 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Huntington Square Apartments on Huntington Square Ln. Three adults were reportedly ringing a doorbell repeatedly in the middle of the night at an apartment complex off Sylvan Road. One of the adults was allegedly “trying to be a police officer.”

    4:08 a.m., Assault, Cavan Drive. A man called police and said he was at his neighbor’s residence “when another male came into the apartment and hit him.” The incident was reported shortly after 4 a.m.

    9:23 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Merlindale Drive. A resident’s work truck was reportedly broken into overnight on Merlindale Drive, near the Birdcage shopping center. Another burglary the same night was also reported nearby in the Birdcage Village Apartments.

    10:30 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Brockwood Way. Police were notified that a transient was “defecating behind the bushes” of a neighbor’s house in the northwestern area of Citrus Heights, near Antelope Road.

    11:02 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, San Juan/Greenback. Two newer green duffel bags were reportedly observed locked with a cable to a pole near Bank of the West, which appeared suspicious.

    1:11 p.m., Petty Theft, Foot Locker at Sunrise Mall. A caller told police a theft had just occurred at the Foot Locker store inside the mall, with the suspect fleeing and security pursuing him. Another theft inside the mall was reported at Shoe Palace the same afternoon. Both incidents were listed as petty thefts, indicating the value was under $950.

    3:44 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Birdcage Village Apartments. A group of individuals were allegedly “running through the complex, throwing things, kicking doors and putting pennies in car doors.”

    5:00 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Tiara Terrace Apartments on Tiara Way. A vehicle was reported stolen from an apartment complex on Tiara Way. The incident occurred within 15-20 minutes of the call to police being made. Police were advised that the keys were inside the vehicle when it was stolen.

    5:59 p.m., Assault, Station 21 on Greenback Ln. Two males were reportedly fighting in front of the fire station on Greenback Lane, near San Juan High School. Six other assaults were reported the same day in various areas of the city, including on Marsala Court, Walmart, Sunrise Mall, Alma Mesa Way, Stones Casino, and the former Toys R Us building,

    6:26 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Peoria Drive. A group of six people reportedly approached a woman on Peoria Drive and she gave them $600 in cash to repair her vehicle. One of the individuals then entered the woman’s residence “and found the other money total of more than $10,000.” No further description was included in the police log.

    6:26 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Brake Masters on Greenback Ln. Two men were reportedly seen “dragging a subject into a van” in front of the Brake Masters shop on the 8000 block of Greenback Lane.

    8:59 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sunrise Mall. A group of juveniles were allegedly blocking traffic in the Sunrise Mall parking lot and were apparently also causing a verbal disturbance.

    5:35 a.m., Assault w/Weapon, Auburn/Devecchi. A man was reportedly seen yelling as a vehicle was observed “trying to run him over” around 5:30 a.m., near Auburn Boulevard and Devecchi Avenue. The man was also seen “jumping on the hood” of the vehicle.

    6:06 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Post Office on Fountain Square Drive. A homeless man was reportedly found sleeping inside the post office lobby across from the police station.

    8:20 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Metro Fire Station 21 on Greenback Ln. Members of Metro Fire’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) reportedly found a person hiding behind Station 21 on Greenback Lane. The individual then jumped the fence.

    9:03 a.m., Petty Theft, Food Maxx on Sunrise Blvd. A man who walked out without paying for groceries at Food Maxx reportedly made a threat of violence to a caller who confronted the man.

    10:59 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Sunrise Center Apartments on Sunrise Vista Drive. Police were advised that a silver Honda vehicle had been stolen overnight from an apartment complex on Sunrise Vista Drive.

    1:37 p.m., Robbery, Raley’s on Lichen Drive. An employee at Raley’s phoned police and said she was locked inside the pharmacy bathroom and believed the store was being robbed.

    2:34 p.m., Reckless Driving, Sunrise/Madison. Two very young children were reportedly seen unrestrained and “hang(ing) out the back windows” of a moving vehicle.

    2:14 p.m., Burglary Vehicle, Creekbed/Virk. A vehicle was broken into on a residential sidestreet near Rosie’s Country Kitchen and the Ranch Motel. Two tablets were reported missing.

    1:30 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Crepes & Burgers on Auburn Blvd. A plastic ammunition can was reportedly dropped in front of a vehicle in the restaurant’s parking lot by an individual who then left in another vehicle.

    8:38 p.m., Hit and Run, with Injury. A motorcycle reportedly crashed into a vehicle near Tupelo Drive, prompting the driver to call police. The rider was reportedly leaving on foot when police were contacted.
