    Latest police logs include a neighbor’s dog reportedly urinating on a vehicle, hundreds of dollars stolen from a piggy bank, and a man calling police because his mother was opening his mail.

    The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for June 29, 2019.

    Saturday, June 29, 2019: Total of 69 incidents listed. Incident report categories of note: 11 calls regarding suspicious activities, 28 disturbance-related, 4 homeless-related, 4 burglaries, 2 assaults, 2 petty thefts, 7 collisions, 3 fraud-forgery related, 1 domestic violence report, and 1 shoplifting report.

    8:06 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Carlow Dr. An upset caller told police their neighbor’s dog was reportedly “urinating on her vehicle, and threw water on it.”

    9:09 a.m., Fraud/Forgery, McDonald’s on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted after a caller reportedly was given a counterfeit $100 bill in exchange for an Apple watch. The fraudulent bill was discovered when the seller went to deposit the cash at the bank. Suspect information was provided.

    11:29 a.m., Disturbance Noise, Tempo Park on Fair Oaks Blvd. Police were called after a “carnival” was reportedly set up in a park with a live band or amplified music.

    1:50 p.m., Petty Theft, Bremen Drive. A resident called police after a friend stayed at their house and reportedly stole diamond earrings, clothing and “$500 to $1000 dollars from son’s piggy bank.” The friend was reportedly no longer staying at the residence.

    6:46 p.m., Petty Theft, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted after a shopper walked out of Walmart with a cart full of items valued around $200. None of the items were paid for.

    7:19 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Glen Briar Drive. Police were contacted by an individual who said his mother was “opening his mail.”

    9:19 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Pilkerton Ct. An unknown female reportedly walked into a resident’s home and fell asleep on the couch.

    9:31 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Cloverleaf/Treeleaf Wy.  Police were contacted after a handful of people were observed loitering near three vehicles in a residential area. The caller suspected drugs were being sold, but said “no exchange of money or drugs have been seen.”

    10:01 p.m., Disturbance Noise, Oakside Dr. An anonymous caller contacted police after a neighbor was reportedly mowing his lawn at 10 p.m. and “creating excessive noise.”

    10:46 p.m., Disturbance Noise, Brooktree Park. Women had reportedly been “talking in a closed park loudly” for the past two nights. Police were advised that the caller was unable to sleep because her dog was barking at the women in the park.

    Latest police logs in Citrus Heights include a manager at the 99 Cent Store reportedly being assaulted by a customer with a shopping cart, several vehicle thefts, and a grand theft incident at Sam’s Club involving $3,000 worth of iPhones being taken.

    Saturday, June 22, 2019: Total of 66 incidents listed.     2:41 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Brookcrest/Brooktree. A vehicle owner left a 2002 silver Honda Odyssey van near Cherry Creek Manor Park and returned later the same day to find it had been stolen.

    8:54 a.m., Assault w/Weapon, 99 Cent Store on Greenback Ln. Police were advised that a customer had picked up a shopping cart and threw it at a manager at the 99 Cent Store. The incident had occurred the prior day, but the suspect had returned and was in the bathroom when police were contacted. The manager was not injured.

    9:56 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Shadow Hawk Dr. A resident called police after an unknown male carrying a bag showed up in their backyard yelling “I love you, I’d never hurt you.”

    2:44 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Antojitos Locos on Sunrise Blvd. A woman was reportedly seen in a shopping center at the corner of Antelope Road and Sunrise Boulevard yelling at herself, saying “you’re going to kill me like you did to my brother.”

    3:16 p.m., Homeless Camp, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Several homeless individuals were reportedly blocking the bike trail behind Walmart. When asked to move their items aside, they allegedly began yelling and swearing.

    4:32 p.m., Burglary, Montage Apartments on Fair Oaks Blvd. An apartment was broken into at the Montage Apartments. No description of items taken was listed.

    5:32 p.m., Petty Theft, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted by Walmart after a suspect who had previously stolen items returned and was sitting outside the store. Police were advised that “good video” of the suspect from a recent theft was available, and prosecution was desired.

    6:30 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Sunrise Mall. A shopper at the mall returned to find their white 2015 Toyota Corolla had been stolen.

    6:42 p.m., Grand Theft, Sam’s Club on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted after a woman in her early twenties reportedly nabbed three iPhones valued at $3,000 from Sam’s Club and then left on foot going towards Greenback Lane.

    8:47 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Costco on Auburn Blvd. A man carrying a two-foot-long metal bar was reportedly riding his bike around cars inside the Costco parking lot and was refusing to leave.

    9:00 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, AM/PM at Auburn/Greenback. A man was reportedly defecating outside a bathroom at an AM/PM convenience store. When he was told to stop, the man allegedly threatened to shoot the caller.

    1:59 a.m., Domestic Violence, Birdcage St. A woman reported that she had been in a fight with her boyfriend and he allegedly “threw her on the bed and strangled her.”

    10:41 a.m., Homeless Camp, Greenback Gardens Apartments on Burich Ave. Police were advised that a homeless camp was set up near an apartment complex behind Fire Station 21 on Greenback Lane. A tent, three bicycles and a “thin white female adult removing clothing” were observed at the camp.

    10:42 a.m., Reckless Driving, Oakbrook/Creekcrest. Several children, around 11-12 years of age, were reportedly driving around a neighborhood on golf carts “acting like they’re going to run over people and cutting in front of vehicles.”

    12:55 p.m., Burglary, Kingsmill Wy. A resident returned home after being gone for the weekend and found her front door open and the house ransacked. No suspect information was available.

    1:44 p.m., Assault w/Weapon, Taco Bell at Antelope/Sunrise. Police were called after a 35-year-old man reportedly picked up a chair and attempted to assault another customer inside Taco Bell.

    1:44 p.m., Reckless Driving, Old Auburn/Wickham. A witness called police after observing a road rage incident involving a man getting out of his truck and punching the door of another vehicle.

    2:31 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Loss prevention personnel at Walmart called police to advise that a woman in her mid-twenties was causing a disturbance in the jewelry department. She was reportedly “throwing merchandise, eating food and refusing to leave.”

    3:04 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances on Pacheco Way. A condemned residence on Pacheco Way reportedly had transients living inside. Police were told that transients were observed bringing tarps inside through a back door and were putting up cardboard in the windows.

    4:00 p.m., Petty Theft, Walgreens at Greenback/Sunrise. Police were called after a “grab and run” incident occurred at Walgreens, involving a suspect stealing two 12-packs of beer.

    5:15 p.m., Robbery, Sprouts Farmers Market on Greenback Ln. A woman reported being assaulted the prior night outside Sprouts Farmers Market. She said a man on a bike had “jumped her, grabbed her phone, broke it and took her bag.”

    6:01 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, at Taco Bell on Antelope/Sunrise. Police were called after Taco Bell employees reportedly locked the doors on customers who were still inside. Customers were reportedly “not free to leave” and had to wait for employees to let them out. One employee reportedly told the caller that the reason was due to “an issue with their register,” which the caller told police “makes no sense.”

    6:15 p.m., Indecent Exposure, Leatherby’s Family Creamery on Antelope Rd. A man who was sitting outside of Leatherby’s reportedly stood up and urinated in front of the restaurant, exposing himself to customers. Police were advised that the man appeared to have been drinking.

    Latest police logs include reports of a disturbance involving ducks in a pool, transients “having intercourse” in public, and a resident calling police on their neighbor for trying to start a fight.

    The following is a summary of select incidents listed in the Citrus Heights Police Department’s daily incident bulletins for Monday, June 10, 2019.

    Monday, June 10, 2019: Total of 73 incidents listed.     8:54 a.m., Stolen Vehicle, Tiara Terrace Apartments on Tiara Wy. A woman called police to report that her vehicle had been stolen. She told police she was the registered owner, but did not have any paperwork or insurance for the vehicle.

    11:20 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Carrington College on Greenback Ln. A transient woman caused a verbal disturbance after refusing to leave the back door area of a store near Carrington College. The woman reportedly said she was not trespassing because she had previously shopped there, and was “just taking a break from shopping.”

    2:14 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Tarocco Wy. A resident told police that a transient man had been found sleeping on their lawn in the morning and had left all of his belongings on the side of resident’s property. The man was also allegedly repeatedly ringing the doorbell and was talking to himself and pacing in the front yard.

    2:16 p.m. Homeless Camp, Northwoods Park on Old Ranch Rd. An online police report was filed stating that a homeless camp had been set up in Northwoods Park, with the camp’s occupants observed doing drugs and “peeking over fences and looking into vehicles,” among other questionable activities.

    3:07 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Golden Donuts on Auburn Blvd. A would-be customer reportedly found Golden Donuts open around 3 p.m., but with no staff observed inside for over 20 minutes. Police were advised by the caller that they had rung a bell inside, called the business phone number and banged on the counter, but with no response.

    4:25 p.m., Vandalism at Bank Of The West on Greenback Ln. Police were called after a delivery van came through the bank drive-thru and damaged an overhang. The driver reportedly left, but was stopped nearby and returned to the bank.

    4:56 p.m. Burglary, Reno Ln. A caller told police someone broke into several vehicles and a storage container in their backyard. Multiple tools and other items were stolen. No security cameras were on the property.

    5:57 p.m., Indecent exposure at Paradise Oaks Youth Services on Uplands Wy. Police were notified that two homeless individuals were “having intercourse” outside of a businesses’ rear sliding door.

    6:33 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, The Orchard Apartments on Madison Ave. Police were called after a half-dozen people were reportedly causing a verbal disturbance “over ducks in the pool” at an apartment complex. Police were advised that the individuals were “yelling and throwing furniture into the pool,” and another was trying to “incite battery.” It was unknown if any of those involved lived at the apartments.

    8:40 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Noreen Wy. Police were contacted after a resident who had reportedly been drinking tried to start a fight with some neighbors. Although the individual in question had left already, the caller wished to file a report regarding the verbal altercation, threats, “and that the subject endangered an animal.”

    12:17 a.m., Disturbance Noise, Monte Corita Cr. Police were contacted just after midnight by a caller who said someone was playing loud video games outside and yelling.

    1:59 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Freedom Ln. A caller told police they found five subjects at the entrance to their mobile home park as they arrived home just before 2 a.m. All subjects were wearing hoodies that covered their heads.

    6:21 a.m., Burglary, Olive Garden Restaurant on Sunrise Blvd. A delivery driver arriving at Olive Garden found the front window of the restaurant had been kicked in.

    8:12 a.m., Reckless Driving, Madison/Sunrise. A white Toyota Sienna was seen driving recklessly between Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. Police were told there were two or three juveniles in the vehicle, who were “hopping from the front seat to the back seat.” The driver also reportedly ran a red light and was talking on the phone.

    10:03 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Grocery Outlet on Greenback Ln. A man in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet was reportedly saying he was “going to kill everyone.”

    11:31 a.m., Disturbance Loitering, Fountain Square Family Dental on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted about a “shadow” by the rear door of the dental office, apparently coming from someone lurking around the business. No further information was listed in the log entry.

    2:40 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Sierra Square Apartments on Targa Cr. A woman contacted police saying she believed her boyfriend broke their 70-inch TV.

    3:28 p.m., Reckless Driving, Sunrise Mall. Police were contacted after a group of friends were reportedly almost hit by a pickup truck speeding through the Sunrise Mall parking lot.

    3:37 p.m., Burglary Vehicle, Renaissance Apartments on Greenback Ln. A caller told police their car window had been smashed and a carseat and clothing inside were stolen.

    5:25 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sylvan Middle School on Auburn Blvd. A white sedan reportedly pulled up to the middle school and a male in the vehicle signaled for a juvenile to come to him. When the victim got to the window, the male reportedly pulled out a knife and “stuck it to the victim’s chest.”

    7:02 p.m., Suspicious Vehicle, Westwood Park on Butternut Dr. A silver Dodge Caravan was seen “driving around the park, and into the grass.” The van’s occupant(s) were also reportedly trying to start a fight with other individuals.

    7:38 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Taco Bell at Antelope/Sunrise. A customer at Taco Bell called police after being stuck in the drive-thru for an unspecified amount of time, with “nothing moving.”

    11:27 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Eco Thrift Store on Greenback Ln. A woman was reportedly “throwing merchandise into the aisles” at a thrift shop. Police were told she also pushed another customer and was “calling people racial names.”

    11:50 a.m., Assault, Pastor’s Auto Care at Sunrise/Old Auburn. Police were contacted after a transient man reportedly punched a mechanic in the chest at Pastor’s Auto Care.

    2:54 p.m., Fraud/Forgery, Villaview Drive. A woman called police and said she had been the victim of fraud involving “an online scam for a monetary grant.”

    3:46 p.m., Burglary, Butternut Drive. Police were notified that a residence in the northwestern area of Citrus Heights had been burglarized in the past 30 minutes. No signs of forced entry were observed.

    4:39 p.m., Collision Non Injury, Sunrise/Greenback. A caller told police they had been clipped by a Regional Transit bus.

    6:41 p.m., Petty Theft, Food Maxx on Sunrise Blvd. Police were contacted after a man allegedly walked out of the grocery store with an 18-pack of beer he did not pay for.

    7:09 p.m., Assault w/ Weapon, Cook Ave. Two men were reportedly fighting in the street on Cook Avenue, near Auburn Boulevard. Police were advised that one of the men had a gun, according to second-hand information provided by the caller.

    7:31 p.m., Disturbance Loitering, Auburn Blvd. A homeless man had reportedly locked himself inside a laundromat next to Panchito Mexican Restaurant on Auburn Blvd. Police were advised there was “a mess” inside the laundromat.

    7:35 p.m., Assault w/ Weapon, Tiffers Studio on Auburn Blvd. A man was reportedly trying to hit people with a stick at a salon and supply studio on the 7600 block of Auburn Boulevard.

    8:10 p.m., Homeless Camp, Walgreens at Antelope/Sunrise. A shopping cart with piled up belongings was reported on a sidewalk outside Walgreens, next to 7 Flags Express Car Wash on Sunrise Boulevard.

A resident told police that a man had entered their home around 2 a.m. and was “banging on the walls, yelling and screaming at the moon,” and using profanity. The incident was reported at a residence located on a side street off Greenback Lane. Police were advised that the man was “not supposed to be there.”

    2:45 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Circlet Way. Police were contacted by a resident who said that a neighbor was “outside yelling with a small axe in his hand.”

    7:22 a.m., City Code Violation, Old Auburn/Conover. Woodchips were reportedly illegally dumped at a location on Conover Drive, near Old Auburn Road.

    12:41 p.m., Disturbance Noise, Trovita Wy. Police were advised of a “very loud high pitch sound” in an area near Sunrise Boulevard and Woodmore Oaks Drive.

    2:07 p.m., Burglary, Cedar Creek Wy. A resident reported that a burglary had occurred over the weekend while they were out of town. The incident occurred in a residential area near San Juan and Madison avenues.

    2:58 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Greenback Ln. Police were notified that a male was reportedly running into the roadway in front of San Juan High School and was laying down in the street, “challenging drivers of vehicles.”

    4:02 p.m., Stolen Vehicle, Smoley Wy. A woman said her daughter’s vehicle had been stolen while parked on a residential street near Woodside K-8 school.

    5:57 p.m., Assault w/ weapon, Mercy Pet Hospital on Tupelo Drive. An unknown male reportedly approached a caller with a metal baton.

    9:07 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Reina Ct. Police received a call from a tenant who said his landlord had “headbutted” his girlfriend. Another police log entry indicates the landlord also called police to report being in a verbal dispute with two renters.

    9:23 p.m., Shoplifting, Walmart on Auburn Blvd. Police were notified that a shoplifting suspect had been detained by loss prevention at Walmart. The value of items attempted to be stolen was listed at $300.

    9:48 p.m., Robbery, McDonald’s on Sunrise Blvd. A caller told police she had just been robbed at McDonald’s, where she had met with another party to sell jewelry items. The buyer reportedly grabbed the jewelry and ran off.

    1:14 a.m., Disturbance Verbal, Ranch Motel on Auburn Blvd. A transient individual was reportedly going door to door knocking on motel doors in the middle of the night.

    7:14 a.m., Vandalism, Slippery Creek Ln. A resident reported that their garage door had been vandalized with spray paint.

    11:35 a.m., Homeless Camp, Hespera Way. Large homeless camps were reportedly set up along a trail in the nature preserve area behind Costco.

    11:58 a.m., Petty Theft, Kohls on San Juan Ave. A shoplifter reportedly walked out of Kohls with a $90 pair of Nike shoes.

    1:08 p.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Birdcage Village Apartments on Birdcage St. A female was reportedly banging on an apartment door saying that “people inside are being stabbed and they’re hurting her children.” No further information was listed in the log.

    1:23 p.m., Petty Theft, Elite Salon & Spa on Greenback Ln. An employee was accused of stealing a customer’s diamond toe ring after a pedicure.

About eight hours later, another police log entry states that a victim called to report that a bouncer at the 7440 Club had “grabbed his cell phone out of his hand and caused him injury.” It was unclear if the two reports referred to the same incident.

    8:00 a.m., Suspicious Circumstances, Sampolo Ct. Police were advised that the gutter of a roof in a residential area “smells extremely bad, especially in the morning.” No further details were listed.

    8:03 a.m., Burglary Vehicle, Bremen Drive. A caller reported that their vehicle had been broken into overnight on Bremen Drive, near Greenback Lane. Both side mirrors were reportedly smashed and unknown items taken. Three other vehicle break-ins were reported the same day, including one on Greenback Lane.

    10:11 a.m., Fraud/Forgery, Bon Appetit on Greenback Ln. Police were contacted by a local business after they received a phone call from someone claiming to be with SMUD and “saying that they needed $798, otherwise they were going to turn off their electricity.”

    1:16 p.m., Collision Non-Injury, Riebes Auto Center on Auburn Blvd. A vehicle reportedly crashed into an auto parts store and then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

    2:56 p.m., Hit and Run Non-Injury, Costco on Auburn Blvd. Police were contacted by a woman who said another driver had “purposely rammed” into her vehicle while she was waiting for a parking spot at Costco.

    3:33 p.m., Disturbance Verbal, Stock Ranch Nature Preserve on Stock Ranch Rd/Dead End. Transients in the nature preserve area behind Costco were reportedly “very aggressive” when a caller tried to take a walk through the park.

    4:07 p.m., Grand Theft, Sam’s Club on Greenback Ln. Police were called after an individual entered the store and stole $3,000 in tobacco.

    5:43 a.m., Burglary, Wexford Cr. A woman told police she had just come home and found an “unknown male on her couch.” The incident was listed as a burglary, although no further description was included in the log.

    5:47 a.m., Collision Unknown Injury, Olivia Ln. Medical attention was requested after police were told a vehicle had run into a garage at the Sunrise Lofts apartments, located just off Sunrise Boulevard near Madera Park.
