Kicking off the month of March, Alfred “Snack Man” Sanchez is leading his annual sock drive to benefit the local homeless population.

Sanchez is known for his regular visits to area homeless individuals, offering snacks, socks, hygiene supplies, and resources, which he says he conducts nearly 300 days a year.

This year, collection bins have been placed at two locations: Grocery Outlet and Sunrise Christian Food Ministries, where community members can donate socks to aid this cause. Additionally, donations can be sent via Amazon or dropped off directly to 6253 Longford Drive, Citrus Heights, CA 95621.

Drop-off locations and hours are posted below:

  • Grocery Outlet. 6059 Greenback Lane. Donations from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
  • Sunrise Christian Food Ministries. 5901 San Juan Avenue. Donations from 12-1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The donation drive will continue throughout the month, from March 1-31, which coincides with Sanchez’ birthday.
