A series of car burglaries in Folsom last weekend led to the arrest of two men, including a resident of Citrus Heights, according to Folsom Police Department.
CBS-Sacramento reported the arrests occurred early Monday morning, Feb. 26, following a report from a vigilant citizen about a potential break-in into a neighbor’s truck.
The suspects, identified as Nickolas Lopez, a 33-year-old from Citrus Heights, and Mark Abell, a 39-year-old from Sacramento, were apprehended by officers who discovered four vehicle burglaries along the same block.
The news outlet also said investigations revealed that Lopez and Abell were in possession of property stolen from the burglarized vehicles. The vehicle used by the suspects during the commission of the crimes was also found to be stolen.
Both men were booked into Sacramento County Jail on multiple theft-related charges. Inmate records show neither Lopez nor Abell are still in jail, as of March 2.
