After a rain delay on opening weekend, a new attraction billed as the “world’s biggest bounce park” is now open on weekends at Sunrise Mall.

Brett and Michelle Coppola, the husband and wife team that owns the FunBox franchise location at Sunrise Mall, are working weekends to keep kids bouncing for multiple sessions throughout the day. Michelle Coppola said an opening special has been extended because rain forced them to cancel some sessions. Together with employees hired to help oversee the jumpers, the Coppolas are optimistic for a busy holiday season.

“Things are good so far,” Brett Coppola said in a recent interview last week. “We’ve gotten settled in, and the rain is holding out for a little bit so we’re on the right track. This community has been really receptive to us being here and it’s been awesome so far.”

Admission is $22 for a 90 minute session that includes 75 minutes of jump time. Children two and under are free, as well as adults over 65.

Families are encouraged to check the website, funbox.com/sacramento, for the latest hours and session times. Times online currently show bookings available on Saturdays and Sundays only, but Michelle Coppolla expects the bounce park to be open Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays, and added that she might make weekday times available.

Features include a 30-foot slide, a ninja wall, wrecking ball, battle beam, inflatable mountain, and a marshmallow mountain, Coppola said. Concessions such as shaved ice and hot chocolate will also be available.

The bounce park is scheduled to continue outside Sunrise Mall through Jan. 15, 2024.
