Citrus Heights police were called to a location near Sunrise Boulevard and Oak Avenue Tuesday morning and discovered the body of a deceased woman.
Police Sgt. Bill Dunning told The Sentinel that officers responded to the scene near the 7200 block of Sunrise Boulevard at about 8 a.m. on Nov. 21. Officers then alerted the Sacramento County Coroner’s office, Dunning said. The woman’s body was found near a creek area.
The cause of death is still under investigation, but police do not suspect criminal activity, Dunning said. Authorities are not releasing any further information pending the notification of the next of kin.
