The annual Sunday Funday event will return to Rusch Community Park on Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s event will include inflatables for kids, tours of the historic Rusch Home from the Citrus Heights Historical Society, K-9 demonstrations from the Citrus Heights Police Department, and live music from the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band, according to the city’s website.
Business, nonprofit, service and craft vendors will be set up on the park’s west end, near the baseball diamonds. Activities are free for everyone, and food trucks will also be available for guests to buy meals on site.
Past events have also offered family activities such as face painting, fire engines on display for kids, and live bands.
A map on the city’s website shows public parking at the park’s west and east entrances, along with public parking from south entrance from Antelope Road, which is available after 10:30 a.m. No information about overflow parking was posted on the city’s website as of Sept. 21, but last year’s event included free shuttle service from City Hall for additional parking.
