A building on Sunrise Boulevard in the Copperwood Square shopping center is currently in negotiations after sitting vacant for years.
The 7,500-square-foot commercial building at 7010 Sunrise Blvd. is on the market for $1,995,000, according to a listing on commercial real estate site LoopNet. A marketing brochure for the property gives a sale price of $266 per square foot, or a lease option at $2 per square foot.
Highlights include an “upcoming building refurbishment” according to the listing. The Copperwood Square center is anchored by FoodMaxx, Dollar Tree, and Planet Fitness. The vacant building is a stand-alone site in the center, with restaurants on both sides.
Andy Jonsson of listing agency Rome Real Estate Group told The Sentinel in an email Wednesday that he is currently negotiating multiple deals for the property and hopes to have an announcement soon.
Citrus Heights Historical Society President Larry Fritz told The Sentinel the building was originally home to Hollywood Video. Fritz said the now-defunct video rental business was one of the last tenants to open in Copperwood Square. The location later became home to Aaron’s rents, but has remained vacant for several years.
