Citrus Heights Police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into the Panda Express restaurant near Sunrise Boulevard and Macy Plaza Drive in the early morning hours of Thursday, Aug. 17.
Officers found the suspect, identified in police records as 42-year-old Eric Charles Baker, inside the restaurant with a soda just after 1 a.m., Sgt. Bill Dunning told The Sentinel. Nothing else was reported stolen, he said.
Police were called to the location by an employee who was alerted to an alarm at the restaurant. The employee was not at the location at the time, Dunning said.
Baker has a “fairly lengthy history” with police, according to Dunning, with records dating back several years for mainly minor crimes such as loitering. Arrest logs show Baker was charged with burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
