Citrus Heights Police said in a social media update on Thursday that an early morning traffic stop resulted in several DUI charges, along with the discovery of stolen firearms and a variety of narcotics including fentanyl.
Police said the traffic stop occurred around 1:26 a.m. on Aug. 10 in the area of Greenback and Van Maren lanes, with an officer pulling over a vehicle with two people inside. Both occupants were subsequently arrested on numerous charges, including driving under the influence and felony possession of multiple firearms including stolen firearms, along with drug charges involving the discovery of cocaine, crack, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Police said additional undisclosed felony charges were also made.
Images shared by police on Facebook showed apparent photos of items seized, including a half-dozen handguns, a rifle, high capacity magazines, ammunition, cash, drugs, and other items.
