Sentinel staff report–
Rusch Park this Saturday will be hosting a free swim, live music, food trucks, and a showing of the movie Space Jam beginning at dusk.

According to a Hot August Movie Night event flier posted on the park district’s website, food trucks will be on scene from 5-8 p.m., with a free swim at Rusch Pool from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Live music will also be on site from 6-8 p.m.

Last year’s event included a showing of the animated film, Luca, and also featured similar activities as well as a car show.

Hot August Movie Night is an updated version of the park’s prior “Hot August Bites” events that were held each August prior to the pandemic. After the event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the park opted to bring back the event as a movie night.

Rusch Park is located at 7801 Auburn Blvd., in Citrus Heights.
