Obituary: Eleanor Mary Hitchrick (1939-2023)
Citrus Heights resident Eleanor Hitchrick passed away on June 5 at the age of 83. An obituary published in The Sacramento Bee on Saturday said she retired from Cal Trans and enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards and bingo. A memorial will be held for her on June 25 at Lakeview Village Mobile Home Park. (See full obit)

House fire displaces 7 in Citrus Heights
A fire on the 7600 block of Denio Way prompted seven people to flee the burning home on Thursday night.  No one was injured, but fire crews could not locate three of nine dogs at the residence, KCRA reported Friday morning. (See full story)

City partners with Chamber of Commerce to offer free memberships
The Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce last week announced a partnership with the city to offer free “Love Local” memberships for all local businesses with the Chamber. Higher tiers of memberships are still available for an annual fee, and businesses can opt-out of the free membership.
