Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday at a gas station in Citrus Heights.
The robbery took place at the Chevron at Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard just after midnight, according to police. General Inspections Sgt. Eric Dias told The Sentinel in a phone call Thursday that a man entered the gas station store and pointed a revolver handgun at the clerk demanding money on June 21.
When the clerk told the man there was no money in the register, the suspect made threats at the clerk, aimed the revolver at the clerk, and pulled the trigger. The gun did not fire, Dias said.
Police described the suspect as a white male adult with blonde or strawberry-blonde hair. He is wanted in connection with at least one other robbery at the Shell gas station across the street from the Chevron at the same intersection. Dias said he could be tied to other robberies in the area.
Authorities are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department Tip Line at (916) 727-5524, or the Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward.
