Police pursuit in Citrus Heights ends near city limit; suspect still at large

By Mike Hazlip—
A police pursuit of a stolen vehicle Tuesday night ended just outside the city limits of Citrus Heights, near Antelope Road and Roseville Road.

In a phone call with The Sentinel Wednesday, Police Sgt. Joseph Aguilar said the pursuit lasted about two miles before the driver fled on foot. Officers were not able to locate the driver after searching a residential area near Walmart and Home Depot.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available, Aguilar said.

The May 30 incident was not related to reports of an earlier shooting in North Highlands, according to police. KCRA reported gunshots were fired related to a vehicle collision at Madison Avenue and Hillsdale Boulevard. One of the vehicles had bullet holes in the hood, according to the report.
