A suspect who authorities say may be connected to multiple bank robberies in the region was arrested by Roseville police officers last week.
The Sacramento Bee reported Saturday that 33-year-old Andrew Lucas was arrested two days after an April 24 bank robbery in the 1100 block of Galleria Boulevard. Police say Lucas acted alone and could be connected to robberies in Folsom and Auburn in addition to the Citrus Heights and Roseville crimes.
He reportedly demanded cash from a teller and then “calmly” left. Lucas was booked in the South Placer Jail, according to the Bee.
The Sentinel previously reported the River City Bank at 5650 Sunrise Blvd. was robbed just after 1:30 p.m. on April 11. An unidentified man passed a note to the teller demanding money then left the area with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
No injuries were reported in the incident, according to police.
