Sentinel staff report–
Those with expired or unused prescription drugs are invited to drop them off anonymously at another free “Take Back” event offered by the Citrus Heights Police Department this Saturday.
The local drop-off event will take place on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police department, located at 6315 Fountain Square Drive, in Citrus Heights.
The event is part of an annual nationwide campaign organized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, which promotes “Take Back” events as a way to help keep prescription drugs from being accidentally misused or abused when not disposed of properly.
Sharp items and needles are typically not accepted.
