Metro Fire responds to rollover collision on Greenback Lane
Metro Fire posted several photos to Twitter after a rollover collision occurred in front of Sam’s Club on Greenback Lane on March 5. The agency said the incident occurred around 2 p.m., with no injuries reported.

A recording of Supervisor Sue Frost’s community meeting at Citrus Heights City Hall on Feb. 27 has been posted to Youtube. The 72-minute recording includes features a 20-minute update from Frost, followed by attendee questions and an update from Councilwoman MariJane Lopez-Taff. (See video)
Schaefer, Middleton absent from council meeting
The March 9 City Council meeting was chaired by Vice Mayor Bret Daniels, with two other council members present. Mayor Tim Schaefer and Councilwoman Porsche Middleton were both absent. The council’s Feb. 23 meeting was also attended by only three out of five council members, with Middleton and Daniels being absent from that meeting
Obituary: Tad Simms (1957-2020)
A celebration of life for Citrus Heights resident Tad Simms, who passed away during the height of the pandemic in November 2020, was held on March 11. According to an obituary published on March in The Sacramento Bee, Simms is remembered for his 25 years of work for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District and is survived by his son, two daughters, and two grandsons.
