Utilizing $50,000 in funding from American Rescue Plan Act pandemic recovery funding, the City of Citrus Heights has launched a Community Projects Grant program and is now seeking applications.
“This program reflects our commitment to steward American Rescue Plan Act funds effectively and directly into the community toward community priorities,” Mayor Tim Schaefer said in a March 3 news release. “We want to use this to help individuals and groups doing positive things in our community.”
The grant is designed to provide funding for community groups to “implement projects and events that engage citizens in creative efforts to improve the community and promote community involvement, connection, and pride,” according to Friday’s news release.
Eligibility is open for any 501(c)3 nonprofit community group or organization.
Applications to fund community projects can be submitted through April 14 at 4 p.m. Details must be listed showing how the project or event to be held will “create community connection and engagement.”
