Residents reported hearing sirens light up the night Sunday evening on Sylvan Road as Metro Fire crews responded to a report of a fire in the office of a Citrus Heights apartment complex.
Battalion Chief Parker Wilbourn told The Sentinel in a phone call Monday that the Feb. 26 incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at The Oaks at Stock Ranch apartments on the 6600 block of Sylvan Road. The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher and caused some smoke damage, he said.
No residential units were affected, and no injuries were reported, according to Wilbourn.
Metro Fire also responded to two other commercial structure fires in surrounding areas on Sunday. Wilbourn said a commercial building in Rancho Cordova and another apartment complex in Fair Oaks kept crews busy. No injuries were reported in those incidents.
