Citrus Heights’ new event trailer is ready to roll for community events.
An announcement sent out Thursday said the city is now accepting reservations for the Block Party Trailer. The fully stocked vehicle is available through the city’s Community engagement Department and includes tables, chairs, a sound system, coolers, trash bins, and lawn games.
The trailer is available to community organizations on a first-come, first-serve basis and the city will transport the trailer to and from the event location.
The trailer is part of the city’s efforts to foster community engagement
“Citrus Heights has set big goals to increase community vibrancy and engagement,” Mayor Tim Schaefer said in the announcement. “We are excited to offer the Community Block Party Trailer program to make it easy and fun for neighbors to connect.”
Funds for the trailer were approved in 2022, according to a previous report by The Sentinel. The cost for the program was listed at $50,000, with funds coming from the American Rescue Plan Act.
