Citrus Heights police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery that occurred two month ago.

Friday’s announcement on the Police Department’s Facebook page said a suspect with a knife had threatened an employee of a business in the area of Greenback Lane and Fair Oaks Boulevard on Nov. 27, 2022. The employee was able to get away, according to the release.

A surveillance video image of the suspect shows what appears to be a male individual wearing a red hoodie, black baseball cap, and black face mask standing at a counter of a business. Police say he was also wearing jeans, black shoes, and black gloves.

Police said detectives have exhausted all leads in the case and are hopeful that the public can help provide more information. The name of the business was not released by police.

Police encourage anyone with information to call Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-AACRIME and reference CHPD 22-08877.
