A fire at a home in Citrus Heights damaged the garage and attic Sunday night, leaving one person with burn injuries, Metro Fire said.
In a post on social media about the incident, Metro Fire said crews responded to a residence near Westbrook Drive on Jan. 22 and found a “well involved garage and attic fire.”
The occupants of the home made it out safely and one individual was evaluated for burn injuries. Video from the scene shows a vehicle parked in the driveway also engulfed with flames.
Crews kept the blaze contained to the home where it started, but the home sustained significant damage. A Metro Fire spokesperson on Monday told The Sentinel the cause was still under investigation.
