Agenda posted for upcoming Jan. 12 City Council meeting

15 residents apply for Citrus Heights Planning Commission
A total of 15 residents have applied for seats on the city’s 7-member Planning Commission, according to the City Clerk’s office. Appointments will be made during the city’s Jan. 12 council meeting. Obituary: Melvin J. Ball (1948-2022)
Citrus Heights resident Melvin Ball passed away on Dec. 29 at the age of 74, according to an obituary published in The Sacramento Bee. He graduated from Encina High School in 1966 and served in the Air Force from 1968 to 2002, while also working as a mechanic for Sacramento County. He is remembered for having “a very easy going spirit and enjoyed working on cars with his sons and watching his grandchildren play sports,” his obituary says. He leaves behind two sons and four grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 21, at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Roseville. (See full obituary)
