More details emerge in fatal Citrus Heights shooting

Sentinel staff report–
Citrus Heights police on Saturday said four young adults are being sought in a shooting last weekend on Antelope Road that left a 17-year-old dead.

In a news release, police named Citrus Heights resident Aidan McGill as the victim who was shot and later died in the hospital. The department also expressed “our deepest condolences to Aidan McGill’s family during this extremely difficult time.”

Police said detectives investigating the case have been compiling multiple leads and pieces of evidence. Although police were initially unclear how many individuals were involved in the incident, the department now seeks four suspects, described only as “four male black juveniles, or young adults.”

No further information was released by police, but The Sentinel previously reported a heavy police presence was described by witnesses at the Foxborough Apartments on the night of the shooting. Police said multiple 911 reports had been received regarding gunshots around 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Citrus Heights Police Department at (916) 727-5500, or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP to report anonymous tips. The department said tips leading to an arrest “will be considered for compensation.”
