Sacramento Cyclocross race takes over Rusch Park
Thousands of feet of blue streamers could be seen set up all over Rusch Park on Saturday, as bicyclists competed in Race 6 of the Sacramento Cyclocross series. The eight-race series takes place at various locations in the Sacramento area, from October to December. (See website)

Following an article published in The Sentinel earlier this month, ABC 10 ran a story on Tuesday discussing Citrus Heights Vice Mayor Tim Schaefer’s recent proposal to consider breaking away from the San Juan Unified School District as a way to enhance education in the city. (See story)

2-year-old killed in I-80 collision on border of Citrus Heights
SFGATE and other outlets reported Wednesday that a toddler was killed and two people were injured in a collision on Nov. 16 on Interstate 80, near the Riverside Avenue exit. A statement from a CHP spokesman said the collision involved a truck going at freeway speed, while the vehicle carrying the toddler was “almost at a complete stop.” (See story)
