Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday afternoon on Sunrise Boulevard in Citrus Heights.
Lieutenant Wesley Herman told The Sentinel a male individual robbed the Citrus Heights branch of the River City Bank at about 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, Herman said.
No one was injured in the robbery, according to police. In the interest of the ongoing investigation, authorities are not releasing further information, Herman said.
The Sentinel previously reported the Union Bank across the street from River City Bank was robbed Sept. 15. Herman would not confirm if the two incidents are related. Both banks are located near Kingswood Drive and Sunrise Boulevard.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Citrus Heights Police Department at (916) 727-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-AA-CRIME. There is a reward for information leading to an arrest, Herman said.
