An SUV on Wednesday drove through the front yard of a residence, through a line of bushes and into a home along Spicer Drive near San Juan Avenue, causing damage to the corner of a garage.

Citrus Heights Police Sgt. Joe Aguilar said the driver, an unidentified adult male, was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The driver was in and out of consciousness after the collision, Aguilar said.

No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the incident is under investigation.

Nearby resident Mike Tarczy said he saw the vehicle traveling northbound along Sperry Drive when it drove onto the curb of the roundabout at the intersection of Sperry Drive and Spicer Drive. The vehicle continued around the roundabout making a left turn onto Spicer Drive, Tarczy said.

Tarczy added the vehicle did not appear to be speeding, but was driving erratically through the intersection.

Tire marks show the vehicle jumped the curb near 7149 Spicer Dr,. traveling over a small retaining wall and through some bushes before colliding into the home at 7143 Spicer Dr.
