Citrus Heights celebrates cityhood with 25th anniversary concert
The City of Citrus Heights held a concert outside City Hall on Saturday for an afternoon celebration of 25 years of cityhood. The free concert was attended by more than a hundred people, with music performed by Capitol Pops Concert Band, which was also celebrating 25 years of playing music.
Citrus Heights man arrested with suspected fentanyl
The Placer County Sheriff’s office last week announced the arrest of 36-year-old Nicholas Crocker, of Citrus Heights, after officers found a stolen motorcycle in the Lincoln area and later identified and arrested Crocker. Charges include being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of suspected fentanyl, and possession of stolen property. (See post)
Motorcyclist identified in fatal collision on Auburn Blvd
A 52-year-old motorcyclist killed in a Friday-night collision on Auburn Boulevard on Oct. 14 has been identified by the coroner’s office as David Pail Zinnel, of Carmichael. In a news release, police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision, but did not specify whether speed was a factor.
