City Council votes 5-0 in favor of COLA increase, plus one-time payment
The City Council on Thursday voted to approve a 3 percent Cost of Living Adjustment for most city staff, along with a one-time payment equal to 3 percent of salary. Councilman Bret Daniels said the proposal was first discussed in closed session, with the council working together to come up with a “fair” increase. Vice Mayor Tim Schaefer also noted that unrepresented staff had not seen a pay increase for two years.
Fundraiser sells out for HART
A spaghetti feed fundraiser to benefit the Homeless Assistance Resource Team sold out on Friday night at the Community Center, according to HART board member Kathilynn Carpenter. Funds raised are slated to go towards housing assistance, student services and the homeless outreach navigator program.
Citrus Heights apartment complex sells for $32M
The Arborelle Apartments at 8007 Sunrise Blvd. now has a new owner, after the property closed sale at the end of last month for $32.3 million. The sale was confirmed by the commercial real estate analytics provider CoStar, which noted the complex is fully leased. (Read more)
