Obituary: Kit Tunney Telford (1950-2022)
A celebration of life will be held at Heights Church on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m., in memory of Citrus Heights resident Kit Telford. According to an obituary published by Sierra View Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, Telford was born in South Dakota and later moved to California, settling in Citrus Heights following a stroke in 2002. His career included winter work in Alaska on an oil pipeline and later as an heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed sports and had a natural ear for music. (See full obituary)
Citrus Heights residents concerned about school traffic safety

Council meeting cancelled
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Citrus Heights City Council on the second Thursday of the month has been cancelled for September, according to a notice posted on the city’s website.
