Citrus Heights opens two cooling centers thru Sept. 7, amid heat wave

Sentinel staff report–
Amid projections of triple-digit heat in the region, the City of Citrus Heights said Tuesday that a pair of cooling centers will temporarily open from Aug. 31 through Sept. 7, 2022.

Centers will be open at both the Citrus Heights Community Center and the Police Department lobby, both on Fountain Square Drive.  Specific addresses and times are posted below:

  • Citrus Heights Community Center
    6300 Fountain Square Drive
    9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Police Department Lobby
    6315 Fountain Square Drive
    9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
