Sentinel staff report–
Pet Owners of Citrus Heights, a local nonprofit commonly known by its acronym “POOCH,” will be hosting a “Bark-B-Q” fundraiser later this month at C-Bar-C Park.
The event is scheduled for 4-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, in the picnic area of the park, located at 8275 Oak Ave. According to an event flier, tickets are $20 per person and includes pulled pork or brisket, along with sides of potato salad, coleslaw, green salad and rolls. Soft drinks and water will also be available for $1.
Donations for desserts are invited, and attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair, as tables will only be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the park, or by emailing poochdogpark@yahoo.com.
POOCH also held a bake sale fundraiser in August to help raise money for an ADA compliant walking path the organization is seeking to build inside C-Bar-C’s dog parks.
