Sentinel staff report–
Citrus Heights police last week investigated claims stemming from social media posts alleging that San Juan High School was locked down on Thursday, but deemed the claims to be rumors.
“We are aware of the rumor and social media (Facebook) posts claiming the school was locked down,” Lt. Jason Baldwin told The Sentinel in an email. “It was not.”
He also said comments about an armed individual or gun on campus were also unsubstantiated.
“We have done our own investigating as well as Safe Schools and we have both concluded that there was no validity to the suggestions that an armed subject was on campus,” Baldwin said.
