Citrus Heights Water District seeks federal funds for new well
Fox40 interviewed Citrus Heights Water District officials and Congressman Ami Bera last week regarding the district’s application for $600,000 in federal funds to help add a new well to boost water supplies during dry years and to increase water storage in wet years. The report said funding for the well is allocated in a bill awaiting approval from the United States Senate. (See video)

Surveillance video shows Citrus Heights homeowner running from scene
CBS13 aired video footage appearing to show a Citrus Heights woman running from the scene of a fire at her home. The woman, identified as Justina Daggett was arrested on arson charges shortly after the incident. (See video)

Obituary: Gerald (Jerry) Vincent Edson (1921-2021)
Former Citrus Heights resident and World War II veteran Jerry Edson passed away at the age of 99, according to an obituary published last month in the King City Rustler. After serving in the Naval Air Force in Guadalcanal, Edson operated a refrigeration business for 17 year, prior to moving to Citrus Heights with his wife in 1969 where he retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters union and was active in his church.  He is survived by his five children, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Sparks, Nevada on Aug. 21 at The Cornerstone Church. (See full obituary)
