Sentinel staff report–
A three-story home on Antelope Road with an out-of-the-ordinary design has attracted the attention of a buyer, according to the latest listing update for the home.

The two-bedroom, three-bath home at 7437 Antelope Rd. was originally listed for sale at $420,000 in November of last year, with a subsequent price drop to $399,500 on Nov. 29th. The home now has a pending offer, according to the property’s listing on Zillow.com.

The property listing appears to have drawn more attention than other listings in Citrus Heights, with Zillow’s website reporting more than 20,000 views on the listing. Other homes in Citrus Heights currently on the market range from several thousand views up to around 10,000.

An initial story about the home published on The Sentinel in December drew mostly negative comments about the design from readers. One said “I absolutely hate driving past this thing almost every day. The first floor is too tiny.” Others called it an “eye sore,” while one resident said he “totally liked it” and added: “whoever lives there will end up with rockin calves!”

Listing agent Ramouna Minooeifar could not be reached for comment Wednesday evening, but previously told The Sentinel the home builder opted for a three-story design due to an easement for a creek running through the half-acre property, which dramatically limited the footprint for construction.

In an interview last month, Minooeifar said she received mixed reactions from potential buyers, with the design appealing more to a younger age demographic. The 1,287-square-foot home sits on a .53-acre lot.

The tri-level home features a mini kitchen, bedroom and a full bath on the first floor, along with hookups for a stackable washer and dryer, according to the property description. The main kitchen, living room and a half-bath is on the second floor, and the master bedroom on the third floor.
