Love it or hate it, a recently completed three-story home bordering Rusch Park in Citrus Heights is on the market in search of a buyer.

Form follows function in the modern design of this two-bedroom, three-bath residence, located at 7437 Antelope Rd. Listing agent Ramouna Minooeifar said the home builder had little choice but to go higher when planning the layout due to an easement for a creek running through the half-acre property, which dramatically limited the footprint for construction.

Minooeifar said she’s had mixed reactions from potential buyers, with the design appealing more to a younger age demographic. The 1,287-square-foot home sits on a .53-acre lot and is currently listed for $399,500, after a $20,500 price reduction at the end of November.

The tri-level home features a mini kitchen, bedroom and a full bath on the first floor, along with hookups for a stackable washer and dryer, according to the property description. The main kitchen, living room and a half-bath is on the second floor, and the master bedroom on the third floor.

While some buyers might be hesitant with the amount of stairs, Minooeifar said she has had interest from younger buyers, especially Bay Area transplants. She said the builders maximized the space they were allowed to work with, and the project is an improvement to the lot.

“They did a good job making something out of it,” she said. “I truly believe it was a good project.”
