Suspect sought after attempted robbery at Jack in the Box

Sentinel staff report– Citrus Heights police responded to a report of an attempted robbery Monday afternoon at the Jack in the Box restaurant on Sunrise Boulevard.

Police Lt. Michael Wells told The Sentinel in an email that the incident was reported at the Jack in the Box at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Antelope Road around 1:05 p.m. on Nov. 30, where an investigation determined “an unknown subject entered the location and brandished a knife to employees.”

Wells said the male suspect fled on a bicycle prior to officers arriving on scene, and apparently did not make off with any cash or items. Officers searched the area, but were not able to locate the suspect.

Wells said police were following up on several leads and reviewing surveillance video, as of Tuesday afternoon. The suspect is described as a “white male adult, approximately 20 years old, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, white face covering, and dark pants.”
