Input sought on potential ‘bus-only’ lanes
A virtual workshop will be held by SacRT on Wednesday to address the potential for “high capacity transit” options on Sunrise Boulevard and other roadways in Sacramento County. One option being considered are bus-only lanes, which typically involves converting a lane of existing traffic into a lane only buses can travel in. Obituary: Elizabeth Anne Hughes (1930-2020)
Longtime resident Elizabeth Hughes passed away on Sept. 21, according to her obituary published in The Sacramento Bee on Sunday. Born in Canada, she later moved to California, married and moved to Citrus Heights in 1978. She was known as being a “mother to all children” for welcoming neighbor children into her home, while having eight children of her own. Her husband, Donald, passed away in 2012. She is survived by seven of her children and 11 grandchildren. (See full obituary)
Citrus Heights restaurant featured on Fox40
Fox40 highlighted a local business in Citrus Heights, with reporter Gary Gelfand dropping by Black Angus to showcase the restaurant’s “Happy Hour to Go Pack.” The deal has been popular during COVID-19 and runs just under $30 and feeds four, including a four-pack of beer. (See video)
