County released latest COVID-19 numbers for Citrus Heights
Latest numbers released by the county on Friday show cases of COVID-19 have risen to 860 in Citrus Heights, meaning roughly 1% of the city’s population has been confirmed to have been infected by the virus. The death toll sits at a total of 14, down from 15 reported earlier this month. A county spokeswoman on Thursday confirmed the drop in deaths and said numbers “can change as additional information is obtained from case investigations.” Countywide there are currently 392 ICU beds, with 291 in use, along with an additional 426 surge beds available. Obituary: Beverly Jane Heinitz (1936-2020)
Bevery Heinitz, a Citrus Heights resident and longtime member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, passed away on Sept. 7, according to her obituary. She was born in Sacramento in 1936 and later moved to Citrus Heights with her husband, Ed, in 1972. She is survived by her husband, two sons and several grandchildren. (See full obituary)
