From retail to restaurants and auto parts stores, many businesses continue to hire amid the COVID-19 pandemic, while others have been ordered to close their doors.
Here’s a few businesses in Citrus Heights that are currently hiring:
Lowe’s: The home improvement store on Greenback Lane is still hiring seasonal positions to help with customer service, cleaning and restocking the store. Hours can range from 10-40 hours per week, depending on the needs of the store. Shifts include morning, afternoon, and evenings, seven days a week, and flexibility for shifts are preferred. Minimum requirements were changed to having the ability to read, write, do math, and be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted. (See application)
PetSmart: The local PetSmart store is hiring pet groomers to help provide grooming services and advise owners on the best services. Applicants must be over the age of 18 and will be provided a full description of the job upon hire. (See application)
Jamba Juice: Multiple positions, including a general manager, assistant manager and shift lead, are being sought at Jamba Juice in Citrus Heights. Applicant requirements vary based on the position. (See applications)
Kohls: The Kohl’s store at 6135 San Juan Ave. is hiring operation associates to help assist customers with their questions are requests. Associates are expected to fulfill customer needs, unload trucks, adhere to all safety guidelines, and replenish shelves in the store. Applicants must have basic reading and writing skills, be able to lift at least 50 pounds, have effective communication skills, and spend most of their work shift on their feet. It is preferred the applicant has previous retail experience, and is comfortable with technology. (See application)
Texas Roadhouse: Located at 6309 Sunrise Blvd., the restaurant is looking for a dishwasher, host/hostess, “to go” staffer, server and baker positions. Position requirements vary. The dishwasher position offers full or part-time scheduling flexibility, casual dress, and a 30% discount when dining as a guest. (See application)
T-Mobile: The shop, located 7291 Greenback Lane, is looking for a mobile associate to assist customers’ technological needs as well as recommending and demonstrating device and service solutions. Minimum requirements for applicants include being at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, technically savvy, able to work varied shifts and able to communicate properly and solve problems. Jo-Ann. The fabric and craft store is hiring a full-time inventory coordinator to receive deliveries, properly check inventory, and stock shelves. The coordinator will have advanced knowledge of the merchandise, and accuracy in cutting fabric. The minimum requirements for the position are being at least 18 years old, having a GED or high school diploma, and at least 1 year in a customer-centric environment. (See application)
Cost Plus World Market: A sales associate is wanted for the retailer, located 6191 Sunrise Blvd. Sales associates stock merchandising, assist customers, unload trucks, and keep the sales floor organized. The position requires 1+ years of experience in retail, the ability to lift 40 pounds, and the ability to start conversations and communicate well. (See application)
O’Reilly Auto Parts: Located 7349 Greenback Ln., the store is hiring a full-time sales counter staff member. Team members must be knowledgeable in automotive parts, and should give energetic customer service, and thrive in a busy workspace. An ASE certificate is preferred, as well as a knowledge of inventory management and cataloging. (See application)
HD Supply: The construction supply company’s location in Citrus Heights is hiring full-time warehouse associates to assist in unload and fill orders, clean work areas, and drive machinery like forklifts. Work days are Monday – Friday, and overtime may be needed. Applicants must be 18 years old, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, unpack throughout the day, and be able to pass a drug test. Master Donuts: A sign on the front door of the donut shop says the location is currently hiring for afternoon and morning shifts. Inquiries are to be made in person at the shop’s location, 7601 Sunrise Blvd.
