Citrus Heights teachers transform garage into virtual classroom
Teachers Jennifer and Joshua Ray have turned their garage into a distance learning classroom, CBS 13 reported Friday. The couple live in Citrus Heights and teach in the Twin Rivers Unified School District. (See video)
Kids at Sayonara Center given free backpacks and school supplies
The Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team partnered with the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce to donate 30 backpacks and school supplies to the Sayonara Center on Friday. Extra supplies and backpacks are available to in-need families who contact citrusheightshart@gmail.com. Food donations are also being accepted at the center, which is providing meals to families.
Obituary: Lillian Hoffman (1944-2020)
Lillian Hoffman passed away last month on July 12, according to an obituary published July 26 in The Sacramento Bee. She lived in Citrus Heights as a stay-at-home-mom and later returned to work at a Rite Aid in town. She and her husband moved out of the area in 1990 and later settled in El Dorado Hills.
