Police search for robbery suspect
Police have released surveillance footage of a man who reportedly went on a shopping spree in Citrus Heights and other areas of Sacramento County after robbing a homeowner in Roseville and stealing a debit card, cash and other items. Man sentenced to 300 days in jail after Citrus Heights DUI
A man who had been convicted of three DUI’s received his fourth conviction last week after being sentenced for his latest violation that occurred in Citrus Heights, according to a Court Watch report by The Davis Vanguard. The news outlet reported that Brian Tipton had been observed outside a Citrus Heights gas station with his motorcycle where he reportedly admitted to an officer that he “had too many beers.” (Read more)
Citrus Heights truck driver involved in out-of-state fatal collision
A 28-year-old man was killed after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Route 78 in New Jersey around 3 a.m. Wednesday, the Daily Voice reported. The truck driver, from Citrus Heights, was uninjured. (Read more)
Citrus Heights COVID-19 cases rise to 379
Latest numbers updated Friday by the Sacramento County Public Health department show Citrus Heights has now had a total of 379 confirmed cases of COVID-19, up from 320 on July 23. Related deaths remain at nine. ICU beds countywide are at about 80% capacity, down from 84% a week ago. Obituary: Alfred Henry “Hank” Manship, Jr. (1941-2020)
Longtime resident Alfred Manship Jr., who joined the Citrus Heights Fire District as a firefighter in 1960, passed away on June 17, according to an obituary published in The Sacramento Bee last week. He was 79. (Read full obituary)
