Sergeant William Dunning told The Sentinel by phone Saturday that officers arrived at the scene and arrested one suspect for negligent discharge of a firearm. The suspect was also charged with additional firearms violations.

Dunning said there were no injuries or property damage involved. Police said the shooting was an isolated incident, and not related to domestic violence.

In California, a charge of negligent discharge of a firearm can be prosecuted as a misdemeanor or felony, depending on circumstances.
