The San Juan Unified School District will be holding distribution events for elementary schools in Citrus Heights this Wednesday, to provide students with Chromebooks for distance learning.
Families will receive messages from their specific school at least two days prior to the event. Distribution events have also been held at every middle school and high school to provide any student with a Chromebook.
The school district posted on its website that students in middle or high school that missed their school’s distribution can pick up a laptop from the nearest elementary school.
The list of schools in Citrus Heights that are scheduled for distribution events on April 15 are:
Cambridge Heights Elementary School, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Skycrest Elementary School, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Mariposa Elementary School, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Carriage Elementary School, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Arlington Heights Elementary School, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Coyle Avenue Elementary School, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Distance learning, also known as e-learning or online education, is a form of education where technology is used to facilitate student-teacher interaction, rather than in-person in a traditional school environment.
