Chando’s food truck sets up shop in Citrus Heights
A Chando’s Tacos food truck was set up outside the company’s future restaurant in Citrus Heights last week. According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, the truck is scheduled to be outside the Sylvan Corners location March 30-April 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A revised opening date for the new restaurant has not yet been announced.
Citrus Heights Water District says water will remain on
The Citrus Heights Water District was featured on Good Day Sacramento last week, with a spokeswoman reiterating the district has suspended all water shut-offs to accommodate those facing hardships during the coronavirus pandemic. The district also says it is conducting regular testing of its water to ensure a safe and reliable water supply. (see video)
12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Citrus Heights
The Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday that county officials have confirmed 12 cases of COVID-19 in Citrus Heights, compared with seven in Folsom and 18 in Rancho Cordova. Compared with the state, Citrus Heights has a lower per-capita rate of infection, the Bee found. (See article)
Local plant sale fundraiser sells out
An organizer with the Sylvan Ranch Community Garden said the garden’s annual plant sale had to close down a day early after selling out on Friday due to unprecedented demand. A total of more than 500 plants were sold on Thursday and Friday.
